re: Georgia Sixth Congressional District Special Election

Voters frustrated they couldn't vote in 6th District special election due to residency requirements
quote:
Edward Rappaport spent most of the day on his phone.
"There's misinformation. I'm not the only one who's misinformed," Rappaport told Channel 2’s Audrey Washington. “This is the neighborhood polling place and the doors of the church are locked."
Rappaport was one of many voters left confused and frankly annoyed, when he found his regular polling place closed for business.
"Perhaps there's confusion among the voters, perhaps there's confusion among the election officials, I'm not sure," Rappaport told Washington.
Our camera rolled as Rappaport called the election information line, then the office of the secretary of state, to figure out what was going on.
Finally he was told he wasn't in the 6th Congressional District.
County commissioners told Washington many voters are confused.

As I posted on FB yesterday:

So the news reports that people as far as south of Atlanta were calling the Secretary of State's office to complain that their polling place wasn't open for the GA 6th Congressional District special election today. (This district runs across the top end of the northern counties, for non-locals). If you're too dumb to know which District you live in, you've likely got no business heading to the polls in the first place. Sit your arse at home and work out the basics before you use your vote as a bludgeon against the rest of us. And that's my non-partisan indictment for today. Damn.

What did you think when you "read" Ossoff's track record?
That he worked for Hank Johnson, during the time period he thought Guam was at risk of tipping over.
And for someone smart enough to attend London School of Economics, continued to work for him after.
Keep in mind this "for the people" democrat, went to a $25k/yr high school.

I love how he touts that he fought government corruption...but at 30 years old(Osoff) Obama was in office when all of this government corruption was going on that he was exposing.

Also, his attempt at claiming national security cred is laughable. He didn't even have a clearance for the majority of the time he claims as "experience".
It will be a shame if Handel isn't able to communicate to voters how ridiculous his resume inflation is.

Don't let facts ruin a good talking point

You're right, I find your narrative amusing. Do you have any clue what the Democrat Party did? They spent anywhere from $6.8 to $8.3 million for 92,390 votes, and now, the total numbers are in.
The Democratic Party was responsible for a fraction of that 8.4 million.
That is like saying all of Trump's pre and post election money came from the Republican Party. Which is just not true.
Furthermore I am not sure what your defense force is attempting to prove? Ossoff received, by recent accounts, 200,000 donations that totaled that number. The DNC has reluctantly invested in the election but if you actually dive into this on the left, the criticism from the left is that the DNC is being ridiculously stingy in these elections because they are saving their money for more "winnable" elections. Signaling a broken promise that the DNC would invest in a 50 state strategy and become more supportive down ballot.
As to what will happen June 20. You have one candidate that has shown he can garner 90,000 votes. One candidate that has not. A race where total R votes slightly outnumbered overall D votes in a historically red district. You can say Ossoff is a weak candidate but he just did better then any Democrat has done in, well, decades in this area.
So that is where we are.
You can spin things however you want from there. By the outrage in your posts it seems you are matching the over reactionaries on the left with getting so worked up and hinging so much on this one, fairly inconsequential election.

I still don't understand what the tech sector has to gain by having a democratic house.

I saw a "friend" from long ago post on Facebook that she couldn't vote (she is in sandy springs) and how she would probably be on the news complaining. No she was not in this video for sure
