Democrats are angry as frick. They are hanging their hopes and dreams on this one shitty little election when republicans own the house, Senate, white house and supreme court. Weird.

Wait. You seriously think the Dems are hinging everything on this one seat?

The democrats aren't hanging anything on this election, but that is because they don't have anything to hang.

They are. The loony Left is taking is still carrying their butthurt on their sleeves more than 4 months later. They are positively masturbating over the hope of winning a meaningless election. Calling it a referendum even...

The left is certainly looking for silver linings after November.

But the argument seems to be more complex then that.

I think the left wants to see enthusiasm in turn out, trends that speak well for their prospects in 2018. These elections are long shots that would be awesome to them if they pulled them off, but I think it is about just seeing promising trends leading up to 2018 and gives the really passionate people something that demonstrates tangible results.

Seems like she clearly embraces him to an extent then. Which is not surprising.

What I was more looking for was a large zoomed out overview of how she ran her campaign and how closely she married it to being a candidate that will stand with Trump.

Cherry picking a few instances doesn't really illuminate that.

Either way, assuming a run off, I think at this point things will get a bit more focused since the field will be whittled down.

Reads like Trump's campaign.

That's her website...

I am Pro-life and believe that life begins at conception.

The current GOP proposal working its way through the House of Representatives remains a work in progress, but it is on the right track. It eliminates the individual mandate and related fines and repeals most of the taxes, including the medical device tax, and the so-called "HIT" tax.

True national security means securing our borders. The current immigration system is broken, and we MUST fix it. We need to build a wall along our southern border, demand immigration laws be enforced, improve the reliability of temporary visa programs

As a former business executive and CEO of the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, I know first hand how to create jobs and enact aggressive economic development policies. I believe that the only way we can grow our economy at a more robust pace is through lower taxes and fewer regulations.

I support President Trump's budget proposal to increase national defense spending, and I will continue to fight to ensure that our military has the tools and resources it needs to keep us safe.

As we work to ensure that today's men and women in the military have the resources they need to do their jobs and keep us safe, we also have an obligation to our veterans. I will be an advocate for these heroes and their families.

I support a simpler, fairer, tax code that promotes economic growth, as well as reforms that promote the repatriation of overseas profits.

These are all of her running points...

Erickson has always been a never Trumper and the media is simply trying to make any and everything be a referendum against Trump

Why does The NY Times link on the first page only show like 50 something perfect of the votes in? The polls have been closed for 5 hours.

She basically ran on name recognition. She's ran for governor and the senate recently. Fulton co was her home base so she was able to break through here. i have really no idea what she stands for. She didn't do any advertising. When she was in the governors race, she and Nathan deal basically only talked about how much they hated gays. Luckily, Deal turned out to be a great moderate governor who has rejected all religious liberty bills.

It's more than a symbolic win for Democrat campaign committees that will use this for fundraising with small donors.

JUST IN: Rare data error from one of the cards means Fulton Co. will have to manually go through hundreds of cards to find the culprit.

One card out of thousands causing the holdup. Unbelievable

"This is a story about women in this community."

OK, dude.
