Gentrification in Baltimore?

Is this the plan?
where do poor people go when their run down area is revitalized?
At the end of the day, isn't the issue fatherhood, stable homes (no drama in the household), education, hard work, marriage, family and ongoing wise decision making?
Isn't this the only way to prosperity?
Democrats seem to believe government can work magic with money.
The land lord and tenant issues, I don't think they can be improved...tenants often trash their homes...so landlords do very little.
Perhaps in Section 8 housing, higher standards should be set for the landlord?
how do we address Baltimore's ? There are many in America..
What ticks me off is we have this in our back yard while Democrats are essentially promoting open borders

Who is going to move to Baltimore?

We can’t fix our own problems and the Dems invite in more and more.

To be fair, if there’s a woman in the home there’s gonna be drama.

There's a Baltimore in every state.

You can't, so you don't. Some places just fade away and die. Baltimore, like Nola will persist for some time due to the ports.

Well, some places can follow what Colorado does when it comes to sex education and birth control.

Yes, there are shithole, dying small towns scattered across the US. People with marketable skills should move to places that are thriving, that provide opportunity. But even then we're just going to have some poor sectors that we simply manage and tolerate...but you don't spend billions trying to bailout those places.

Well, more often than not, the dad is absent...so if the mom is crazy it's probably because she upset about her decision making

Not in the northeast (NH, Vermont, Maine) or places like Idaho.

Gentrification is a code word for white supremacist. It’s the new standard for racism

Which is unfortunate b/c some poor white areas get gentrified as well. A prime example is Hell's Kitchen and South Boston.

Gentrification just pushes the problem into someone else’s plate. Don’t get me wrong, I think gentrification is awesome, but it doesn’t fix any long term problems for the country.
DC for example is beautiful. It has been almost entirely gentrified over the last couple of decades. The thugs they pushed out didn’t just disappear, though. They’re just terrorizing someone else’s town. It all comes down to the shitty people that populate these places.

exactly...
Durham NC is great example of it...
I know schools changed quickly...

It's the gays that do the gentrification. Hell's Kitchen is an example of that. Now, if Baltimore had a gerbil infestation, it would get gentrified with the quickness.

Well, Whites either move away from poor Black areas or they invest and push them out...
Black people get upset when businesses pull up anchor and money stops flowing in these communities but what is the answer?
You can't fix poverty...but I think we stop having large pockets of poverty...I think we spread poor people out so they have some vision of hope around them...

Friends who now live just north of the PA/MD state line have talked about their reasons for leaving Baltimore where they were trying to renovate a historic house.
We had a lot in common with them from our experiences in NOLA. Exchanging stories became sadly amusing as we could predict the finish of their sad experiences as they could finish our sad stories.
There was one difference: they didn't have a nearby church with a loudspeaker that blared "Burglary, burglary, leave the premises immediately." We did, although we first thought it was warning habitual offender "Beverly"

We've seen a lot of apartments being built in Cary the last 5 years, and schools are changing very quickly
if you're white, you're now the minority....at least in a couple of schools that are usually 80% white
My daughters school was 85% indian....India is taking over Morrisville and Cary....
Blacks, Asians and Hispanics are moving in from Raleigh and Durham...
it's kind of crazy how fast Cary is changing, once considered the #1 place in America to live...
I am not saying it isn't still great, but I as a white person often feel like I am the visitor in my own country.
so many different cultures and languages being spoken...
Democrats think this is wonderful, I do not...
