Because they have been force fed a crippling financial scam?
Yea what could possibly go wrong?

I have a master’s degree I don’t even use FWIW
Posted on 9/19/25 at 8:12 pm to drewb808
That has nothing to do with the theory.
Posted on 9/19/25 at 8:14 pm to the808bass
Explain the theory to me in layman’s terms if you wouldn’t mind
Posted on 9/19/25 at 8:18 pm to drewb808
People who experience mass trauma events, 9/11 and Covid being the two favorite events, are subject to greater amounts of anxiety because of those events.

So funny I just replied that in other thread

Have they seen the draft?
Thankfully not

Have they seen 18% home loan rates?
lol at that. Would have loved to buy in the 80s or 90s.

Have they seen a life where girls had to make their own school dance dresses?
This one is weird.

Where families shared a single car?
Yes

Where there was no internet?
Of course

Where phone range was limited to a 4ft cord?
Yeah but at least you know who was lurking with the cord phone.

People born around....1987 have been told some shite. They've had it just good enough to neither question rote teaching, nor press for or pursue available exceptionalism.
People born around 1987 are still fixing everyone’s computer and tv from their parents to their kids. Same people are teaching excel to boomers that get paid more than them and also implementing AI.
I also think they might be spanking their kids.

Idk if this is sarcasm but your characterization is solid for me

But it's tough to pinpoint the "why's"
Sex imbalance in college, leading to larger sex imbalances in grad school, leading to larger sex imbalances in top jobs (especially in urban areas).
And dating apps accelerate the segregation.

I literally just fixed the tv after I posted this. So I guess I forgot the chivalry bit as well.
Millennials are solid. Enjoy your SS folks.

shite when I was a kid during y2k my parents took us to our grandparents house in Many LA right on the Toldedo bend to escape the potential that was being spouted in the media. First time I shot a squirrel and caught a catfish on a jug that was bigger than 10 year old me.
I remember my pawpaw and mawmaw praying when the ball in new york was counting down from 10.

Then 9/11, unless you were in those buildings, was just a spectacle
Had many teachers in middle school with husbands in the army/national guard.
I vividly remember my 6th grade teacher breaking down when watching it on TV in science class be ause she knew her husband was going to be sent to fight in the eventual war on terror
It was definitely more than a spectacle.

Ok that is you. Im Gen X and been with my company 30 years. I own it now. But I have had countless nights going to my car in an empty parking lot. The more a person will sacrifice the more they will succeed. That has not changed.

Where 1 TV and 3-channels was the middle class household norm? Have they seen 90% income tax rates?
Can you please tell me your answers to these questions?

You DO NOT attend Notre Dame to get a HS teaching cert at $70K/y and then bitch about student loan debt.
Is this really what that graph demonstrates?

Millennials are perhaps the first generation in human history to view those responsibilities as unique.
Petty.
Pretending like only your generation ever experienced any hardships is absurd.
