You'd have a much lower chance of being assaulted in most parts of Alabama, and you can easily carry a gun to defend yourself. So the killing the kid part is a bit moot

And no way I would get assaulted where I live that was just for example. I would wager we have lower crime statistics than every town in Alabama.

Don't tell me how great Cali is. We would love to leave. But, it's not always so easy to pack up a family and move when jobs can be scarce in your industry, pay will in no way be close, and you also have extended family here.
We vote for the most conservative person in every election. Out here that's kind of like voting for the smartest kid on the short bus.

I'm trying to follow your scenario. This is your idea of freedom. You live in a place with a lot more criminals and rapists, where you're not allowed to defend yourself, but...you can get the morning after pill after you've been raped. And they have convinced you that you CAN'T in Alabama? You can, of course, but I mean still. Good God. Don't you think your freedom has already been totally violated at that point?

I am not defending California. I think all governments are full of shite. But this is the best place for me and my family. I agree with more of their shite than I disagree with. The pay here is amazing. If you have family here and all own property, you have amassed more wealth than most of the country will ever see. Your pros must beat out the cons or you wouldn't be here.

I really don’t know what to say… Everyone knows I’m one of the few California residents that posts here. So I’m used to seeing stuff like this. For the rest of you, get ready to laugh at the absurdity of what he and his media machine are about to hit you with. He’ll give you plenty to get angry over too. But for now, enjoy your actual freedom from Newsom and don’t ever let your state become another California politically.
