Trump

Trump telling putin to release info on hunter made gas go up, coupled with the invasion of ukraine. Trump and putin are roommates that stay up late trying to figure out how to inflate oil prices so oil companies make more money. Don't forget to get boosted.

Draining the SPR would be a good move only if the govt was easing regulations and expediting the leases in order to produce more oil. Then it would be a stop gap to ease prices until more rigs could come online and then refill the reserves.

But they aren’t doing that. So once the reserves are out we are back to square 1, and have no strategic reserves on top of it

Reserves are being drained to ease demand, but we aren't drilling and have no plans to replace what we've taken.

Summer is going to be brutal. Start filling your grocery bags with gas now and save.

By the end of summer we will have used closed to 70% of our strategic reserve. Great time to use what we have stored up since the mid terms are coming up. Guess food shortages and supply chain be damned when shite hits the fan with not enough crop yields. I’m sure India Canada South Africa and Australia will come to our aide like we have many many times in the past for them.

Probably more simple economics. The price was to high and demand dropped so the price followed. We have had enough time for people to rearrange their lives to not take those unneeded trips and conserve a little more. The reserve output was a drop in the bucket.

Think toilet paper and Rona.

If yall havent tried the GetUpside app I recommend it.

Usually you can get around 10cents back per gallon, I got 53 cents back per gallon the first time I used it. I assume that was a promo for my first time

So let's say it drops 10 more cents. How much money will you save?

I would save $1.10 if my car was EMPTY and around $2.60 in my truck, again if it was EMPTY.

I understand prices are high and no one likes it, but damn it’s not like it’s $47 more to fill your tank. Hell, my sons mom (no pics) cancelled their Spring Break trip because gas was too high…

Because you don't understand why it dropped or that it's temporary.

The Dems will get those prices down right before Nov elections and brag how Trump screwed them but they got it straight now.

Paid $3.65 in San Antonio today. Roughly $101 and didn’t even fill up my tank. SPR getting drained and we gonna be effed in the future.

I want gas prices to be as low as possible, but I honestly don’t get why this seems to be all folks want to talk about. Call me privledged or whatever but gas prices going from 2 - 4 a gallon, for me, means I’m spending an extra 30-40 a week. And that just isn’t even gonna be noticeable in the grand scheme of things. Now it’s impact on other goods obviously drives up how much it is costing me. But some people act like it means they can’t eat this week, if that’s true I do feel for them. They were already living real close to the edge.

It kind of looks like oil production has been going up for quite a while now.
