Robert Kyoung Hur (born 1973)[1] is an American attorney, who served as the United States Attorney for the District of Maryland from 2018 to 2021. He previously served as principal associate deputy attorney general.
Hur received his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Harvard College. He received his Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School.
After graduation from law school, Hur clerked for Chief Justice William Rehnquist of the Supreme Court of the United States and Judge Alex Kozinski of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
He previously served as special assistant and counsel to Christopher A. Wray, then-Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Justice Department's Criminal Division. From 2007 to 2014, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Maryland, where he prosecuted gang violence, drug trafficking and firearm offenses, and white-collar crimes. He was formerly a partner with King & Spalding in Washington, D.C., where his practice focused on government investigations and complex litigation.[2]
On November 1, 2017, Hur was nominated by President Donald Trump to be the next United States Attorney for the District of Maryland.[3] On March 22, 2018, his nomination was reported out of committee by voice vote.[4] He was confirmed by voice vote later the same day.[5] He was sworn in on April 9, 2018.[6] On February 3, 2021, he announced his resignation, effective February 15.[7]

Appointing a Trump nominee pretty much confirms the reason they are doing this is to force Brandon not to run in 2024.

Just setting the stage for him not to run for re-election. Or a way to get Harris as the new president before an election

Trump nominee as former US Attorney.

Might want to read everything instead of just assuming. Dont think Trump would nominate him if he was a Biden lover

As a political convention US Attorneys are, for all intents and purposes, chosen by that state's Senators. They have to approve of the choice and if one of them objects the nomination isn't made.

I get your joke but let's not act like this isn't already scripted to happen. They do not want Biden in 2024.

Perkins-Coie
So he got part of his training with a concern that was involved twice within a less than 5-year period with documents of questionable authenticity - Obama's third version of his B.C. and Steele's contrived dossier - two documents that they knew were fraudulent.
But am sure this one is above reproach and can be trusted to go where the evidence leads him.
Clyde is all enthusiastic about this appointee by Garland having a Republican background, which in his words, "he won't be in favor of Biden."
About the same level of naive trust that some had in Barr, Durham, Huber investigating a velvet coup attempt to remove a President.
That one has been going on since May 1, of 2019. How many years are left until all of the statutes run out.
This one is more theater, but with the distinct purpose of coaxing Biden to change his mind about running again.
Since there will be no impeachment resulting from it, why bother?
The Center for Security Policy has identified at least 8 points that Biden could have been legitimately impeached on. Will this one jokingly be called the 9th?
He's going to escape all of it.
Because "his Corvette is in a locked garage."
