I don't recognize gay marriage. It's a contradiction in terms.
However, if our cradle-to-grave state is going to dole out positivist "rights and privileges," then I'm fine with just deciding that two people can contract to act as a single unit (or, more precisely, rely on a default set of contract provisions). I.e., civil unions.
But why just two? And there should be no incest laws.

Oh great, obviously this means the country has since embraced the gop since they’re no longer homophobes and the gop owns at least once branch

Yep. Totally cool with people entering into contracts with whomever they wish.
That's all gay "marriages" are. They aren't marriages.

Didn’t read 9 pages so someone probably already had the same thoughts as me.
But I don’t “support” gay marriage. I simply don’t give a frick who sleeps with who as long as the people sleeping together are consenting adults. If they want to get married while they’re at it, I don’t give a shite.
Just don’t give me a whole month of “Pride” and putting the shite in front of my face like it’s normal and mainstream, because it’s not.

I'm firmly in the "who gives a shite" camp on the issue; however, I don't like how we got there. This should have been a state legislative issue, but the Supreme Court just decided that the state legislatures were taking too long.

Laws exist to legislate morality.
Okay, then don't complain when every thing you, including your mere existence, do is deemed immoral by CRT/BLM peddlers.

1. If there are benefits with regards to the state for married couples, gays should be able to have those same benefits
2. If other people want to experience the fricking misery that comes with being married and divorced, join the party pal.
3. Most gay people just want to fit in and really do not like the flamboyant, in you face, gay stuff.

I don't oppose it, but I wouldn't exactly say that I support it either. It's gonna happen, I'm not going to try and stop it. I'll let God handle it, he's much better at determining what will get you into Heaven or not. I'm just living my life, I don't have time to worry about everybody else.

It doesn't matter if I complain, and I'm just stating a simple fact, not the way I want it to be or don't want it to be. Laws reflect the moral values of the society that passes them, at least in a representative democracy. They exist to force people to behave in a way that the majority finds acceptable.
People who say things like "we shouldn't legislate morality" are shallow thinkers who've just never thought it through.
