I acknowledge your position, I get your position, but end of the day I disagree. Reason being that I believe the net result of that scenario is incidentally a stronger uniparty and/or Democrat caucus.
...and that's why you have 33T in debt, a house that agreed to give Biden a blank check and run up 2T deficits, and who is unwilling to seriously look into a president that has enriched his family to the tune of at least 20M.

LMAO...please tell me you're an unserious person without actually saying you're an unserious person.
I live in Florida. I experienced all of the wonderful things DeSantis accomplished as Governor of this state. In my 30-plus years as a resident, I have never seen a politician say what he was going to do and actually do it to the level that DeSantis has. Quite frankly, it has been legislative win after win. Yeah, you point out the legislature, but we have had R legislatures before with R Governors before, and nothing was accomplished at the level that Desantis accomplished things. Previous governors were simply good stewards of the state. Because of that, I support DeSantis for POTUS, as well as a myriad of other reasons.
And guess what? I actually live in Gaetz's district. He is a good Congressman, who can say whatever he wants because he represents the reddest of the red part of the state. All Gaetz has to do is 1) not raise taxes and 2) make sure that the military bases in this district are funded. He didn't support McCarthy for Speaker, even though Trump did, and he doesn't now. We all knew what McCarthy is, even though, somehow Trump didn't.
So, what were you saying about litmus tests?

Yea, no one anywhere is basing their voting choices on who has been impeached.

America first means taking actions that have no tangible benefit to America whatsoever?
You guys love virtue signaling and pandering theater even more than the internet progressives do.

I'm not a fan of Trump's pick for Speaker, but he doesn't have to votes to impeach. I don't care about Gaetz meaningless rant

Votes to impeach? This is an impeachment INQUIRY. He hasn't even asked the questions yet. Gaetz is basically dragging McCarthy's arse through this.

Very important work. Lots will come from it.

Another Desantis supporter who doesn't support investigating the Biden corruption. Nice.

He wanted it to be done a long time ago. This is news to you because you don't follow America First. You don't realize how many for how long have been calling McCarthy on his bullshite.
The idea that Republicans are just now opening an inquiry says it all.
Posted on 9/12/23 at 2:53 pm to jlnoles79
This is only the inquiry. After that, they'll have the votes.

Wrong on both counts. Rather typical.

McCarthy praised Trump’s influence while speaking with reporters after his victory, saying, “I don’t think anybody should doubt his influence. He was with me from the beginning.”

So you didn't actually have a better option that McCarthy ready to go... another fantasy land post, like 90% of what you say.

The fact is, is that right now he doesn’t have the votes to impeach. He’s got a paper thin majority, with the difference being GOP reps from purple districts.
It’s a shame that the red wave never materialized, but that’s just how it is. He would be crazy to call for an impeachment vote now. This gives him time to build a case against Biden, and protects those vulnerable seats. Nobody calls for a vote when they know that they can’t win it.
