Is it illegal to go door to door picking up ballots in a very blue county?

Asking for a friend.

No, they believe in same day voting only.

That's the way it is in Georgia. You must request a ballot and provide valid ID info with your mail in ballot. And drop boxes are secure in government buildings and are only open when early voting is open.

Harmeet Dhillon is such a disappointment.
I disagree. I saw her on Laura Ingraham last night and she said Republicans are going to have to use the dem party game plan of early voting, mail in voting, and drop boxes.

Being late is by design. GOP leadership does not want to win GA.

Kamala being the deciding vote is the best we can hope for, at this point. The dims already have 50. If Herschel loses, it’ll be 51-49 dimocratix. Kamala wouldn’t need to be the tie-breaker.

without mail in voting, how do members of the military get to vote absentee? i had relatives vote absentee while in college and they lived out of state. like another poster stated, i have no problem with mail in voting as long as it's done correctly and by the person requesting it. my issue is with the ballot harvesting and drop off boxes.

Tried to vote Tuesday and lines were ridiculous and was planning today but the website that gives information on polling wait times wasn't up and running til around 10:30 A M and by that time it showed an hour wait.

Will try tomorrow because I really don't want to do it next Tuesday.

Absentee and mail in are different. 2020, we got 5 ballots sent to us, unsolicited. Actually ended up with a young couple that came door to door claiming to be helping with elections. They identified as being from California. I'm in a red Georgia county.

If there is a legit reason to not vote on election day, go on through the channels to request a ballot. Otherwise, there is definitely a space for "interested" parties to step in and vote in place of someone who might not otherwise bother to vote.

Those were probably applications to get a ballot.

The Tech guy is correct.

In 2020, Raffensperger sent all voters an application due to COVID. This was made illegal in the 2021 Georgia Voter law.

So if you got 5 applications sent to you "this year" "in 2022" then that is trouble.

I'm voting for Walker for the second time but I think it's probably a lost cause. Where I'm at the Warnock ads are probably 10-1 over Walker and the democrats just seem to want it more. I still think the Republicans prefer to be the minority party, that way they don't have to really do anything but get to claim they can't.

Just the other side of the same coin with the democrats

The RNC basically learned nothing from the 2020 GA senate runoff. Same exact playbook. Maybe just play their games to win now and worry about addressing election laws after. The courts didn't do jack shite in 2020 and they're not going to now either.

absentee voting =/= mail-in voting. Nonone has ever had an issue with absentee balloting, and voting absentee actually take a lot more time and effort than voting in person. I had to do that all through college and grad school.

And the establishment will blame Trump. Surprise. Surprise.

In reality, the midterms and runoff fall squarely with the ineptitude of the Republican Party, with major assists from McConnell, McCarthy, and McDaniel.
