There's no privilege if the client and attorney are conspiring to commit the crimes themselves.
ETA: so if you ask your attorney for legal advice after you kill somebody that's privileged and protected.
If you pay your attorney to help plan the murder it's not.

No, he’s written about the fact that Cohen never did much lawyering for the Trump organization. He was a deal-maker, making licensing deals the same way the Trump kids do. SDNY made a filing this week that they’ve been watching him 4 months and he’s not doing much lawyering. There won’t be much privileged info to exclude.

Here is what happened. Muller was charged with finding evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia involving this election. After months and months of digging and millions of dollars of taxpayer money wasted, he came up with nothing. So instead of publishing his findings and closing the case, and since he is a partisan hack and Trump hater, he decided to change the scope of his investigation.
So in turn, he finds a partisan hack judge that also hates Trump to issue a warrant to bust down Cohen's door and seize everything in sight. Remember, some of the stuff seized is information for clients with no affiliation to Trump at all and their records are also supposed to be privileged.
And now, Muller and his team will search everything, mind you, they have no evidience of a crime, but instead are looking to find evidence of a crime.
Is this the way you want the justice system to work?
