Fully vaccinated parents, both tested positive....Updated OP

Update: Both of my parents made it through, without any real complications. I tested positive Friday 9/10, had body aches for a couple days and low grade fever one day, lost taste & smell Tuesday. Been cutting grass and sitting in the deer stand this week.
Dad last week, mom this week. Both of them made it known, that they didn’t want to be sent to the hospital. They live or die at home, with their family around them. We had teleconference with their Dr, told her where we stood, what were our options?
We had already started them on vitamin C, D & Zinc, Dr said she would refer them for monoclonal antibodies, if we chose to, both made huge improvements in the first few days, so we decided not to do it. Things could turn in the opposite direction any time, but starting to think, they’re going to pull through it. Dad is a big guy on oxygen, mom is a petite woman, w/no real health issues. If they die tomorrow, I’ll live with no regrets.
There’s no doubt in my mind, that both of them would be on ventilators, if they had gone to the hospital.. Hospitals are killing people, by following the CDCs guidelines, and I think they really don’t give a shite!
ETA: The Dr did prescribe them both a Zpac.

You are doing the right thing.... Keep them out of the hospital.... I would add Ivermectin and Quecertin...
Good luck. Prayers to you all.

Wife's walking co-morbidity uncle was unvaccinated (his arse should have been).
Hospitalized.
On oxygen.
For a month.
They got him out of bed Maybe 2x a week.
Terrible.
No wonder ppl are dying.
I really think the way hospitals are treating ppl is contributing to the deaths.

Keep them regularly on their feet and moving.
Don’t give them cough suppressant. You should actually give them cough expectorant. You wanna break up any fluids and cough that phlegm and shite up and out.

I would also ask the doctor about a prescription based anti inflammatory.

Mucinex was prescribed for the b-i-l by his doctor while he has the covid.

We’ve been making them get up and walk around, every couple of hours. Have been giving them Robitussin Cough & Congestion, which has been breaking up the phlegm pretty good, will change that to just something for congestion. Thanks

We will talk to their Dr today about it. Thanks

100% agreed. That is what the evidence shows. From the very beginning it was known that they need oxygen, not pressure. The fact that they vent people shows how they do not care.

Well they will likely be fine since they are vaccinated...

I would've done the same thing. If they made improvements in the first couple of days, I'm guessing the antibody therapy wasn't needed, but I wouldn't have hesitated to do that.

What? Where? Why? How?
You were making sense till now. You understand the people who discovered that intubation people should be last option are the doctors? Proning patients was brought back.

Jesus.
So let me get this straight. Your parents followed advice. They got vaccinated. That is good.
They then got covid. That is unfortunate but it happens. Since they were vaccinated they likely will just have a cold.
They have a cold and are on the road to recovery. Who could have predicted.
And then you say they would've intubated them had they gone to the hospital. Unless they were much sicker those first few days that is unlikely.
And if that is in fact the case, they should've gotten the antibody treatment.
You were doing well until the end there.

I'm curious. Do you actually believe this?
I mean hell, if you think it is a plot to give millions of dollars to certain companies, can't you think of easier ways to do it?
Hell, they could've directly given the money to people by hiring them as consultants. Why go through this big thing?
I'm wondering if you ever thought this through.
Also, if the vaccines are useless, why are so few vaxxed people in the hospital?
Why are the vast majority of people in the hospital younger and less in danger than the vaxxed people?
Honestly I find it difficult to believe anyone could actually think they are useless.
But if you do, please let me know. And kinda give me an idea why. But if coming up with a weird idea of why, think could it have been done easier to disprove your idea. Because of it could've been done easier, why didn't they do it that way?

You could also use a humidifier with essential oils for respiratory. Very soothing, smells like Vicks

The active ingredient in expectorant is Guaifenesin.
Also water is probably the best decongestant. Make sure they stay hydrated to keep any mucus thin and able to cough up.
Let them cough. It’s your body’s way of getting that mucus out of the lungs and prevent pneumonia as well.

You DON’T want cough suppressant which is what you have been giving them. You have been giving them something to break up the mucus but your also giving them something to prevent their bodies from coughing the mucus out.

Oh in my original post I should have not said cough expectorant. Should have been just expectorant.
