Are you counting the fbi agents online encouraging Ricky retard to go buy zip tie handcuffs to arrest Pelosi?

Or the feds posting they were leaving their wife and kids home and going to bleed the tree of liberty? Egging on imbeciles on the chans.

This could easily bring the fed operation in the hundreds.

So they did have agency and knew exactly what they were doing. You are saying they had a choice and consciously elected to do what they did. Your response suggests that they went to the Capitol with a certain intent .

Your words.

Are you suggesting these people were so weak as to be easily influenced.

Are you suggesting otherwise ... of any group of people?

There are hundreds of examples of experiments in Crowd/Mob Psychology demonstrating the broad basis of "ease of crowd influence" or manipulating an inherent herd mentality.

There are a litany of queue demonstrations where experimenters form a random queue in an urban or university setting. Random people see the herd, do as the herd is doing, and join the line. I don't know why. They just see other people doing it and mimic the behavior.

Concomitantly, the same feature is prominent in TDS

You're describing the irrationality of MAGA NPCs which is even more rich given the context of J6

No, I'm laying out very general, demonstrable, human psychological tendencies. Your attribution to one group, versus another group is poorly informed.

You're also describing the Massie Derangement Syndrome and all its irrationality that's taken over the board's NPCs.

Just as I am describing the TDS-riddled Massie NPCs and all their irrationality. Different sides, but the same psychology.

Sure. Why would you ever want to act like a TDS person?

This is why whataboutism typically fails as a rhetorical tool.

Normally I'd be dismissive of your contrarianism as simply due to a misunderstanding of a clinical subject like this. But psychology plays a fairly important part in what you do for a living. So your response here is really surprising.

You've been having some really bad (melty) weeks lately.

I pray your boyfriend's sphincter is ok after the Massie loss tonight.

Let me be clear. My comments were to explain how they were “led” by instigators, whether by feds or rabble rousers. I don’t think they went to overthrow the government, but to protest the stolen election, and show support for Trump.

Their emotions were ripe for the pickin. It was mob mentality run amuck, not predetermined assault plans. Pelosi and company, instigated, and denied crowd control for the obvious (to me) result.

At times you come across in these exchanges like the chess opponent who laughs at the irrationality of a rook sacrifice, only to find himself in checkmate three moves later.

E.g., You see this image, and what are your thoughts?

I ask, because while most take the photo as capturing spontaneous mob behavior, my first thought was "That looks to be staged."

"Why would anyone risk the injury when there were easily accessible stairs a few feet away?"

Which, of course raises a second question.

"Who staged it, and why?"

Emotional-irrational MAGA types who had both of those aspects of their mental state manipulated by people who promoted a dishonest theory about the ability to stop the certification of the 2020 election. These emotional irrational types were whipped into a frenzy and acted in kind
