I don't agree with this bill, and I hope it doesn't pass. However, I'm not going to hate Nick Saban over this one issue and one letter that he co-signed. If I do, then I'm really no better than the people on the left that I feel have created the massive divide in this country. I wouldn't hate anyone here if they said they supported this bill, even if I would voice my disagreement.
It’s a calculated ploy to gain favor with the black athlete. That’s all it is. It’s so transparent. It went public fof that reason and that reason only.
Saban could have picked up the phone, called his long time friend Machin and gave him his opinion, but no he had to go public.

Yep. I heard he also likes the rap music and keeps hot sauce in his desk drawer.

Good summary. So in your estimation he knows this bill won’t pass and he’s simply performing shallow posturing in an effort to do everything can to benefit his employer, the University or Alabama. Which is exactly what they pay him to do. Good point, Internet user doubleb. I’m sure everyone on here can applaud this display of pure capitalism.

texfag7/cajunbama/Daniel/The Contrarian
One would have to be mentally disturbed to create as many alters as he has to “troll” on a message board, any message board. Unfortunately
texfag7/cajunbama/Daniel/The Contrarian ETC suffers from schizophrenia and has multiple personalities.
Communist POS.

I always liked Saban for his coaching methods and the results he produced but now, after seeing him join the left in spreading a big lie of voter suppression, he can go to HELL! I guess to him, Black Lives are more important than the truth and Democracy! I wonder why?

Nick Saban is right to support voting rights.

Since Saban had not shown he’s big into politics, I don’t know if he knows whether it will pass or not. I even wonder if he knows what’s in the Bill.
Going public like this may help him recruit and thus benefit his employer on the football field; however, if the federal government takes election law out of Alabama’s hands it could hurt his employer even more.
Furthermore, I doubt people in Alabama believe Saban is paid to politic on issues where he sees fit. I believe he’s paid to win football games.
FWIW, I don’t believe this has anything to do with capitalism. It’s pure grandstanding. He’s being a demagogue, that’s obvious to anyone paying attention.

Saban is way too detail oriented and calculated to put his name on a letter and not know what he is supporting

Saban is a jag off. Needs to stick to coaching. Trying to appease his black players I guess. I wonder how the Alabama fans feel about this? Voting rights is such a joke anyway. Just want to make it easier to cheat and steal more elections. Anyone with half a brain knows this isn't real. I hate Saban even more now and I didn't think that was possible.

So he was studying the bill and that’s why he wasn’t ready for Georgia? Yes, that’s it.

Kudos to Auburn if that is true. Frick these commie progs running out schools, especially in REPUBLICAN majority states.

No way a guy as driven or successful as him could possibly multi-task I honestly can't tell if you're joking or not

Saban never stops recruiting and this is another example.

quote:Now I have no issue with his politics. Ppl in this thread are saying he is a liberal I have no idea but based on this thread getting started apparently he said or did something to make ppl think that. As far as him marching with his players last year, what did you think he would do? The guys whole life's work is centered around 17-22 year old black males and him convincing them to come play ball for him. Not saying I agree but get offended that he would do this is crazy.
Now sit down and shut the frick up and learn to separate a persons job from his politics. Also, don’t jump back on the bandwagon when he wins another natty on his way out.
What I do find hilarious is that you are telling someone to separate a persons job from their politics. You know damn well that this doesn't apply to famous ppl or liberals. This rule only applies to conservatives. Only conservatives have to leave their politics at the door of the work place in 2022 America.

Had Saban written a letter to Manchin telling him to hold strong and frick the voting rights bill, he'd be getting roasted by the MSM not by the fans. As it is, he's being praised by the media and ripped in the comments under their out of touch articles
