Of course that is true. But the data has to be interpreted with that prism. Capturing racial attitudes is different fundamentally than capturing whether open racism is a culturally acceptable viewpoint. Everyone already knows it is not a culturally acceptable viewpoint here so this isn't some bombshell.

It’s not really the traditional thing anymore though. It’s more of a class thing. Also India is made up of different ethic groups. Almost every state has its own culture and language and many are not fond of the other.
