Why the hell did they hide this in the press conference just saying his "room mate"?
It was all confusing at this home and "roommate" sharing discord convo. I'm guessing home meant home town and not the parents house.

Iirc he went home after the shooting and made some kind of half hearted confession to his father. The FBI questioned the roommate and learned of the Discord posts to confirm his involvement.
