Surprised by coach O saying that. He’s usually so calculated & always thinking of recruiting. Has a Scholarship roster of 90% black kids. K Lavon has also commented & you know many are thinking the same.

I agree 100%. This isn’t about his political views, which he is entitled to. It’s about putting LSU first. There are some jobs that just require you to sacrifice your stance on some things. This is just another failed example of LSU’s PR department. Coach O shouldn’t be doing interviews on Fox News or CNN, not in this environment.

Oh shut the frick up, and quit being so goddamn obvious with your intellectual dishonesty. O seems to be pretty cozy with JBE as well. In fact, I’ve seen him criticized a good bit for that too. He is an equal opportunity “offender” in favor of sitting executives who are supportive of the LSU brand and program, regardless of party.

And here you are advocating the continued soft racism of lowered expectations for the black players you are suggesting aren’t smart enough to understand that and are incapable of thinking for themselves. And you too fricking stupid to even see it, you self-righteous frick.

Just amazes me how blacks bash Trump when he has done more for them than Obama ever did. Just plain ignorance.

“In this environment”

Yeah, an environment where ignorant people believe that all people of one color believe and think all the same way.

Totally disagree about O being politically driven. He is literally cordial and friendly to Rs and Ds. The freaking HORROR! He is good friends with the Dem Gov for goodness sake.

O is the example for everyone to GET ALONG and it’s not US vs THEM. We need more folks like Coach O spreading goodwill and positivity in these times!!

So him praising JBE is cool? Him and JBE taking photo ops is cool?

Everyone bitching in here about O taking a side )politically) didn't say shite when he's buddies with JBE.

I wonder why lol

But had he said something complementary about Biden, we aren’t having this discussion. No one would accuse him of not putting the team first. So, no Trey. You DONT get it.

This issue at hand here is that we’ve allowed a cancel culture to persist where people are attacked, alienated, or worse for political
Views.

Same here. There is no reason why people can’t say something good about a president of the United States without called a racist or attacked. If things come to that, then screw all sports.

I mean, this is a guy who threatens other adults with physical violence when he gets his jimmies rustled. All the people that have defended this drama queen are now understanding the reality of Ryan Clark. If you disagree with him on an issue that has a racial component, you are "a racist", if you disagree on criticizing Joe Burrow coming to LSU you "haven't bled for LSU", if they think it's a good idea to play football he disavows his own school. It's a common malady these days. Twitter and social media have made The Glib confuse themselves for The Wise. And this loud-mouth, narcissistic jackass is a perfect case study of when your ego outruns your coverage. In time, if he continues to be around the program, he will do REAL damage to it. It's just a matter of time. He's ego-driven and in love with the sound of his own voice to the detriment of everything else.

He said on national tv that he “loves” JBE? There’s a way to remain a little less effusive and broad when being appreciative of support from a politician.

No doubt. I’ve worked many jobs in my life where I’ve had to sacrifice my ability to comment on my views or etc. It comes with the job, i.e. the companies I have represented. Coach O represents a public university, it’s a high profiled job. Many high profiled jobs bar you from political comments and so forth. There are some that require your social media pages to be completely transparent at well. Some people struggle with these notions, mainly because they have never worked at a level that every action you take, every word you speak, and every choice you make represents the company directly. O is the chief spokesman of LSU football, and should’ve never made those comments or have been allowed to. Rest assured, people can and will get fired for similar comments for large businesses and etc. I’m not saying that it’s fair; I’m saying it’s part of the job and Coach O knows better. There’s no doubt he’s already regretting his comments and will be discussed internally. Again, most people are going to disagree because they can’t relate to being in that type of job.
