Former Arkansas State Senator Linda Collins-Smith found dead

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Former State Senator Linda Collins-Smith was reportedly found dead from a gunshot wound, according to her former press secretary Ken Yang.

Yang says that her death is being investigated as a murder.

Yang also tells KATV content partner, KAIT8 that Collins-Smith was found shot in her home.

According to Yang, neighbors had reportedly heard gunshots a day or two before Collins-Smith was discovered today. Her body was reportedly found wrapped in some sort of blanket.

KAIT8 reports that they are at Collins-Smith's house in Randolph County where police are investigating an unattended death as suspicious.

I immediately saw a lot of twitter postings saying this woman was a democrat turned republican and was working exposing Arkansas DHS because children were removed from their homes and taken not being given to grandparents or other family.
