I say freak that crap. These kids agreed to pay back the money for a education. If they want to help somebody forgive me and thousands of others with SBA loans. We didn’t ask for freaking hurricane and flood waters to ruin our shite. I been paying SBA ever since Katrina and still ove over 20 years more. Our leaders are dumb asses.

If you are forgiving student debt it only seems fair to give every graduate in the past however many years a lump sum

Socialist shite there. Poor rich kids borrowed money at attend college so that when they apply for a job they get same pay as person that’s been doing that same job for 20 years.

This is what we get for raising kids to believe in Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy, and The Easter Bunny.
Everything is supposed to be free.

I could get on board with lowering or maybe even eliminating interest rates on loans but will never agree to outright forgiveness. Not fair to others who have stayed responsible throughout their lives, selfishly meaning me.

Is it too late for a middle aged guy to run down and get one for Harvard or Yale real quick?

Im far from a well of knowledge in this area bc quite frankly I was greatly blessed to not have to go the route of student loans. But I do note that basically every college campus I personally see is building substantial new additions. Surely Bernie's plan would cause a bit of an issue in this regard.

I’m as small government/conservative as they come but anybody who doesn’t at the very least admit that the education system from high school to college regarding loans is predatory and an absolute racket can’t be taken seriously.

I don’t acknowledge that. What is predatory about it?

I'd like to know how much of the student loans actually went to tuition. I know a guy who bought an ounce of weed every semester when he got his loans, now I have to have my taxes pay that guy back for weed he bought 15 years ago?
