So slavery ended everywhere else, but would have just continued here?

It wasn't "on its way out" and stating that fact isn't saying that it would last forever.

Do you always lie when losing an argument?

I literally say:

quote:

He mentions a lot more than just slavery.

So, you've proven you have no clue what you talk about on this board but you are a liar as well!

Good to know.

What did Lincoln say after a long night of drinking?

I freed who?

Sorry for the bad joke I heard in elementary school in the 80s

Your first post, which I responded to:

quote:

I mean, I'm still amazed that there are grown men who still believe the Civil War was fought over slavery.

LINK

Also:

quote:

quote:
it is historical fact that the secession was led by and was for the slavers.

Complete and total bullshite as slavery was on its way out and would have ended on its own anyway.

LINK

You started off from the very certain position that it wasn't about slavery and now it wasn't only about slavery.

All of the complaints about government being unfair are related to hemming in and not fully protecting their "peculiar institution".

It's sad that a grown man holds these beliefs and is unaware that everything he types on this website a cataloged for all to review.

Not exactly a professional presentation, but the guy did his homework.

He missed a spot though as in Lincoln's warm correspondence with Karl Marx.

Research and providing links and support for your arguments is so dumb and boring. Just go on what you feel like was and will be. Got it.

So, you are no longer arguing the points? The point that the Civil War was not fought over slavery? Economics, increase in tariffs, state's righrs and Lincoln's railroad didn't have anything to do with it?

Just semantics now?

This is all the attention left to give you today.

You are clueless.

I'm pretty sure Lincoln wanted to send all the slaves back to Africa and felt they shouldn't have the same rights as white people.

"That's a mighty hard thing to verify."

Did you miss that part, fool?
You certainly don't possess that ability, nor do I,
fool.

He spoke even worse of the natives.

Trying to conflate all the issues the South wanted to secede into slavery alone was the best tactic Lincoln and the State ever used.

John Wilks booth's brother saved a kid that fell on some train tracks at a station...

That kid was Abraham Lincolns son...

Wild.

He could have freed the slaves without violence.

More American soldiers and civilians died during his time than any other president.

You haven't made any other than "uh-uh, it wasn't slavery".

Economics, increase in tariffs, state's righrs and Lincoln's railroad didn't have anything to do with it?

Background noise if even that.

You're just ignoring the words of the secessionists.

quote:

You are clueless.

I've posted very specific words right from the secessionists mouth. Your view ignores the entire history of our country running up to the civil war and just cherry picks some case he was involved in as a pvt lawyer and some peripheral issues. I'd say you're clueless but that would be generous.

Sure I have. Here you go again with more lies.

Economics which is the reason for 99% of all wars throughout history and to today.

High tariffs on tobacco and cotton, high taxation on southern states, underrepresentation in DC for southern citizens, and slavery.
But act like Lincoln just loved the slaves, buddy.

quote:

Background noise if even that.

It was literally mentioned in the Georgia secessions docs that you linked as your "gotcha!"

quote:

You're just ignoring the words of the secessionists.

I actually bolded them earlier when you posted your supposed "gotcha"

quote:

I've posted very specific words right from the secessionists mouth.

Now post the very specific words on what slaves in the South were "free" and which ones were not in the great Emancipation Proclamation.

What parishes we're slaves not free in the Louisiana South?

When you want to get honest let me know. You're showing how ignorant you are on the subject.

Just like oil and gas topics

Putting aside your nonsense and your attempts to make this some global argument about my posts (it's interesting you keep posting about my energy comments considering I don't recall you ever posting...thanks for reading...rent free), I really do like this comment you keep posting:
