For those who hate Trump, tell us why you think he was a bad POTUS. Be specific.

Is your anti-Trump sentiment based on your fear of what he MIGHT do, or perhaps simply that he offends you with his crass words? And you don’t really have any substantive fault with his actual performance as president?

I’m just interested in what you think of his presidency.

I think there are about 3 self-identifying democrats on this board so I'm not sure what you are driving at here

I will tell you why I don't support him in the primary. I am more conservative than most of his followers so I don't like Trump's instincts to grab guns. I also think he is sloppy and undisciplined so he leaves a lot on the table in terms of effectuating conservative policy. And of course he let the midget Fauci run the country by fiat for a year, no matter how much excuse making and spinning people try to do.

Expanded red flag laws, grew the ATF and let them have more power, banned bump stocks. All things Obama tried to do that every republican screamed and shouted about. But when Trump did it republicans licked his boots.

He spent his arse off, couldn't get anyone worth a frick to work with him, and attacked our Constitutional rights with the DOJ.

That should get you started.

I think very few people here hate Trump.

I think most here just don't think he has the best chance of beating Biden.

BamaPOS klan are the only ones that bother with spending energy hating him.

Most of us just prefer someone actually conservative and effective.

2017-2019 was relatively great

2020 was an unmitigated disaster

Not since Pearl Harbor had an event of such magnitude take place in the country and Trump turned the country over to the pharmaceutical elite, encroached upon our rights, and delivered an extermination shot to the world.

Added more debt to this country than any other president in history besides Obama. Is that specific enough?

I don't hate Trump. I voted for him.

In this cycle, I prefer another candidate, and one who we all here liked until we were told not to like him.

It would be awesome if we could stop conflating support for one candidate as equaling hate for another.

It's right up there with with:

"So what's your favorite ice cream flavor?"

"Vanilla."

"Oh...so you hate chocolate, is that it?!?"

-Fauci dominated him
-Cares Act - started inflation
-15 days to slow the spread- opened the doors for lockdowns
-pushed the vaxx
-complained 6 months ahead of the election that it was going to be rigged, did little to secure it
-he’s never attempted to unify anyone. Always divisive

I am against Trump winning the Republican nomination, however, I don’t hate him, nor do I think he was a bad President.

I will forever be grateful that he pulled the mask off the dreadful Chinese Communist Party, which was the biggest issue of his time. The second biggest was Covid, which he handled poorly, but I don’t judge him too harshly because that one was tough.

Where he was poor was in surrounding himself with low talent arse kissers. The executive branch is only about 10% President. The rest is the bureaucracy he surrounds himself with and that he inherits. He did a very poor job surrounding himself with talent - historically bad.

The domestic opposition and the international opposition has figured Trump out.He is an egomaniac who can be easily manipulated by appealing to, or inciting, his ego. Nancy Peloso treats Trump like a puppet. She controls him. Look at how she manipulated him on Jan 6. She took his rally and easily turned it against him. Then just recently she provoked him by saying he looked frightened - a stroke of genius. Trump responded exactly as she knew he must, by spewing vitriol at her. She was probably popping champaign with her friends and laughing at him.

If he wins the nomination I’ll vote for him, but I dread it. If he loses he will take down our congressional majorities and hurry us toward socialism. And if he wins he will alienate 2/3 of the country, get nothing important done, and cost us future elections.

As a registered independent I don’t hate trump - I actually appreciate him having the balls the call out China which none of the other presidents have done successfully

However, trump is no conservative and I wish his followers would just admit this and quit pretending like he is - trump’s whole schtick gets tiresome and wears people out - he would still be president if he would have learned to keep his f$cking mouth shut and wasn’t such a whiny azz
