UK calorie caps

A 10 year old can see that if you reduce the size of a pizza then an obese person will just buy 2 pizzas.

A fit person may buy the larger pizza because he wants to share it with others.

The govt may realize this but their purpose is not to make people healthier. Their purpose is to gradually acquire more control over individuals.

What's worse is if the original large was 1500 calories and the new govt capped medium is 1000 calories obese people with no self control are now feeding themselves extra calories because of this measure.

Not a fan of the government telling me I can do anything but

I’m eating that whole pizza and I’m fit. Deal with it Brits

I can see this as a simple trial and error approach to promote healthier living. This may work for many people.

People do eat Lean Cousines and Healthy Choice meals even though they taste like shite.

You have to admit our portion sizes and junk foods are out of control.

Education should be the main approach. Regulating isn't the way.

Exact same thing as the New York liberals and their soda size cap. Just buy two cokes instead in one.

Kinda like here in America - one to a customer - but you can bring the wife and three kids and go home with five of them.

Obese people eat them as a snack between meals. 500 or so calories and 2000mgs of salt is a horrible snack.

The government cannot regulate health and wellness. That's something that has to come through education, parenting, and personal responsibility.

I don't know how many times I've seen a fat person drinking a can of Slim Fast along with their high calorie lunch. The drink is supposed to be INSTEAD of the lunch not with the lunch.

Not sure which ones you're getting, but I eat them for lunch sometimes and the one's I get range from 160-330 calories.

Let's not lie. Too much bullsit on the PT already.

And that is how you raise taxes without actually raising them which is the goal. Smaller is always more expensive than larger and buying more in smaller quantities equals more per unit of measure which equals more tax revenue. Like everything this is about money and not health.

So because you buy some of the low calorie options, the rest of the freezer section doesn't exist? Do you see how dumb that statement is.

Subway and Smoothie King are joining each other all across the nation and no one noticed, but if you pay attention 9 times out of 10 they are next door to each other.

Education is the problem.

Do you know how many obese people eat a footlong meatball sub covered in mayonnaise and cheese and wash it down with a 48oz chocolate sugar smoothie and then complain that no matter how healthy they eat, they can't lose weight?

Symptoms of an ignorant education problem and like always, the government tries to regulate the symptoms and refuses to acknowledge the causes.

No, people can eat them and also eat other healthy good shite like chicken breasts, veggies, and fruit too.

You're making this way more complicated than it has to be.

Yes they can. Obese people do not do that.

I'm not making anything complicated. I'm telling you the reality that obese people gobble up frozen meals as snacks and you responded that "there's no way they do that because I choose to eat low carb ones as meal replacements." a statement that makes no sense.

Healthy people also eat them. I've actually seen it with my own eyes. I'll make a video and post it for ya.

Fat people eat them, healthy people eat them too.

I'm a "calories in, calories out" believer. Need sodium, but no too much for iodine levels and active transport between cells. People who only use sea salt will run into health problems. Seen two people develop issues. They actually put iodine warnings on sea salt now.

No I didn't. I said healthy people eat them too. Of course, fat people eat them as well.

Word of advice... don't use absolutes in discussions.

Did I say they didn't? You are arguing a point no one made against an argument no one presented.
