Yet several of DeSantis’ most rabid supporters on this forum a

I would argue that the 5 absolute trump sycophants have virtually ruined this board and put a very sour taste in the mouths of many republicans

Well, it could probably be expected that any group of people triggered by 5 or so “sycophants” are the types that were gonna be triggered by something else if it wasn’t by that. You could say they’re likely searching for reasons to become triggered. Coincidentally that’s also the image of those notorious “midwestern housewives” who are mentioned so often. Karens and Kevins just waiting for a reason to talk to the manager.

You gonna turn on Desantis when he endorses Trump

Will a DeSantis endorsement return $7,400,000,000,000 to the Treasury? If yea then yea.

Of course not, I doubt he’d double it though, which is the least we should expect.

I’m sure many here share such an opinion.

As Paleolithic Auburn football coach Shug Jordan once quipped about college football fans, no fan base has a lock on idiots.

Given a choice between hiring a guy who hasn’t raped a child, but theoretically could, and hiring a guy who not only could, but did, I go with the guy who hasn’t yet. Much more likely that guy won’t.

If you fail to see the percentage of obnoxiousness I can't help you. Take hhtm level but multiply it by more than the normal amount without a valid reason except it's his turn...again.

Sound familiar?

The most ridiculous and insidious narrative put forth by many establishment Repubes on this forum is that Trump’s base represents some gross and anomalous deviation from Republican political purity. It is an absurd proposition.

Our nation’s two-party political system has long been rooted in personality cults since the permanent bipartisan leadership of both parties support — to varying degrees — unceasing war, unlimited bailouts and unending welfare. And that is because both parties are ultimately captured assets of our nation’s wholly corrupted national security apparatus.

The rise of a populist outsider such as Trump is simply the logical endpoint of that inarguable reality. Some form of populist pushback against this UniParty® agenda is indeed the very best outcome we can expect in our wholly corrupted political system.

Such pushback is going to come from the Bernie Bro left or the MAGA right. Take your pick because it is what it is.

"Liberal spending" means spending like or worse than a liberal. Trump's spending was worse than Obama's, and that's before we got to the trillions he championed for a virus.

You can get little argument from any sane person on that point. Yet the trajectory of such reckless spending existed long before Trump was elected President.

Indeed, our insane debt load ultimately is the logical end result of our nation’s print-on-demand monetary system that is the funding mechanism of the Welfare-Warfare State. By any objective standard, the current trajectory is simply unsustainable.

Indeed, it increasingly seems that fiscal collapse is the ultimate objective. Be that as it may, at some point gravity is going to take over and it won’t be a soft landing for any of us.

So expect things to get much, much worse before they get better. Nothing ultimately changes until this nation returns to sound monetary policies.
