Those teachers are probably jumping with joy, regardless of political inclination.

I know you just trust Google, but ALL of our founding documents are in script. If you can't read it, you're just taking someone else's word. I made sure both of my kids can and have read the Constitution and Declaration from an image of the original. It's tedious, but important.

He’s a fantastic “common sense” leader. No BS and he has started off setting a pro conservation agenda as well. His personality is kind of meh, but I’ve ageed with every single thing he’s done so far (at a very rapid pace).

He should be the guy after Trump’s 2nd term.

He should be the guy to follow Trumps second term. Just putting a sharper point on your statement.

Good it’s crap. If Mississippi could survive by eliminating CC without having its federal dollars pulled every teacher here would rejoice. It’s a big joke
how can the feds pull money from the state for not doing this but they can’t pull money from states that supports sanctuary cities? How is one legal and the other is not?

Actually, I think it has to do with its overt adherence to the UN’s Agenda 21....and its practical uselessness.

One is looking at the military. Always has.

The other tries to experience everything (does) and may most likely go to college. Budget at this point prevents LSU so UWF looks more probable.

The government wants to educate and indoctrinate your children and they don't want you involved with their rearing, growth, and maturity.

Hard to believe that Gillum almost won, but thank God Florida pulled through for their own state and for the USA!

I’m interested to know more about this. Are there any pics of this online?

Here are just a few of the so called reading assignments for my daughter. remember this is 4th grade curriculum. Maybe I'm reading to much into it, but I just see too many similarities to what the prog left push right down to many of the trigger words. Sorry for the size. Had to blow them up some to be able to read them.

This one was around election time. Practice 2 "People Who Need People":

This one was homework from tonight. Timing is impeccable. love the words in bold, and the lack of any reference or legal, or illegal immigration:

Common core often gets a bad rap.

There is a big difference between curriculum and standards. Common core is a set of standards that outline what kids should know and be able to do in each grade level in ELA and math only. The standards were driven most aggressively by republican governors (especially Jindal) because states had watered down their standards so much. The goal was to try to put something out so that no matter what state a kid lived in, they'd be held to the same standard. So, a 4th grader in Colorado would have the same math and ELA standards as a 4th grader in Louisiana, Tennessee, etc.

The photos above are clearly tied to a standard about kids being able to accurately capture an author's purpose. I don't think anyone would argue with this standard.

Now some people might object to the curriculum that is being used to teach the standard, and that's fair. But curriculum is a school district decision. You could use any good text to teach this standard.

Common core says absolutely nothing about immigration or any other politically touchy subject.

Factual error: America was not founded by "immigrants". It was founded by colonists and settlers.

Like I said.... I have other great examples. Colonist and settlers doesn't trigger people like immigrant does.

I figure when she starts getting sex Ed in a year or two abortion will be included as a form of contraceptive at this rate.

Wife and I are looking into private school for next year.

Read Works is supplemental, teachers use it to enhance what is going on in the classroom and to check for understanding. Hell, you could go create a free works account and select what articles you want to practice with.

From "Democrats United Against Agenda 21"....

quote:

Common Core is an integral part of UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development: globalization is the standardization of systems. Whether the system is law enforcement or land use or government, the standardization, harmonization, and integration of all international methods of management is essential for total control. Education is the flash point for embedding system acceptance in all sectors of the population. Standardized propaganda is developed for pre-kindergarten to post graduate school; this is what is meant by 'Life Long Learning.' Breaking down traditional methods of learning in order to re-socialize the populace is the goal. Obedient, dependent people who are constantly being propagandized will provide the 'human capital' to fully implement UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development.

Once you understand that your children are "human capital to be best used by the collective, their grooming makes more sense.

If you want to see Agenda 21 in action for yourself, go to your county and ask them about the other parts of Agenda 21 like "Sustainable Growth" land use planning. It is directly from the UNs published plan.
