Playing the knock-out game isn't acceptable either but nobody gets 22 years for it.

In April 2011, Hoang Nguyen, 72, died in St. Louis, Missouri, after he was attacked in what was described by a local CBS station as "part of the so-called knockout game". Nguyen's wife, Yen, 62, was injured. After the trial, the assailant, Elex Murphy, who was 18 at the time of the assault, was sentenced to life in prison plus 25 years.[12][13][14][15]
In July 2012, 62-year-old Delfino Mora was attacked by three men and killed in West Rogers Park, Chicago. Anthony Malcolm, 20, who recorded the attack on his cell phone and publicized it, was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Nicholas Ayala, 18, was sentenced to 27 years.[16] The third, Malik Jones, 21, was sentenced to 33 years.[17] The attack was said to be part of a game called "pick 'em out, knock 'em out.

Trump was harmed by their foolish actions, so playing as if these are his lieutenants that were arrested and convicted for following his orders is absurd. It's not as black and white as some of you are pretending it is.
As far as recent memory serves, only the Dems have donated to support their minions that *allegedly went rogue* and committed crimes in pursuit of Dem objectives. And they were slammed for it.
This dude should probably get a commuted sentence either way simply because of how ridiculous 22 years is, though Trump publicly addressing now it will only enflame the left.

What are the cliff notes on what he supposedly DID??
I cannot imagine any mental defect that could possibly examine the events of Jan 6 and actually conclude that there was an ACTUAL CONSPIRACY TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT going on.
What exactly are the facts?
Suppose I see an actual bank robbery taking place. and I see that the robbers dropped a ten dollar bill on their way to their escape vehicle.
And suppose I pick up that 10 dollar bill.
Am I guilty of the commission of that robbery????
ALSO - what if the commission of that "robbery" was a movie being filmed - and that same 10 dollar bill is dropped in the street. And I actually THINK it was a real robbery and I pick up and keep that 10 dollar bill as a souvenir.
Am I then guilty of an ACTUAL BANK ROBBERY????? - or is there some other minor infractions that would apply to keeping a 'windfall'.
And if not - does my condition of "CRIMINAL" or 'ho-hum' depend on my ability to actually JUDGE the ACTUAL motivation of all those people who I see that apparently resembles a robbery?
I am as honest as the day is long - I would probably provide the 10 dollar bill as 'evidence' or something. Certainly if it were a SIGNIFICANT amount of money then I would return it to its rightful owner. BUT it is entirely possible that depending on who knows what, I'd just decide to keep the 10 dollars and use it as an example for some future tale.
I CANNOT imagine that anyone thinks that there WAS an actual "CONSPIRACY to OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT" taking place.
Now there WAS certainly a common thought in the heads of 99% of those present - they were UNHAPPY with the shoddiness of the election PROCESS - and had been summarily DISMISSED without a chance to air their GRIEVANCES.
Sort of like maybe the George Floyd rioter????
OOOOOOPPPPPSSSS!!!! - I mean those St. George Floyd Peaceful Protesters!!!
forgive me

Too bad it doesn't call for an impartial judge too. That judge should be arrested and charged with prejudicial abuse of power for political reasons.
Amendment VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

Yeah, the equation changed to “unlawful demonstration activities” like the Kavanaugh protestors resulting in a $50 fine.

Too high doesnt mean I think its insane..it means I dont think he deserves that high a sentence. I dont feel sorry for him b/c he knew what he was doing. He admits he may have been doing it under false pretenses. He lead his group to their own prison sentences, and then tried to weasel out by having his lawyer blame Trump and he himself blaming the media. frick that guy.

If this isn't overturned on appeal, American justice is a lie.
