There should always be a record of what is discussed between the President of the United States and a foreign leader. The President is a public servant. He doesn't own the country. That doesn't mean that the details can't remain classified in the interest of national security, because they can. But there has to be a record. It's official business.

We might take your , and others, feigned interest in "public interest" more seriously if you had oh I don't know expressed any anger over Hillary's obvious use of a private email server to avoid FOIA laws.
But you , and others, didn't object, because in reality you (they) don't give one frick about "official business"

If you are at all a student of history, you are aware that just about every president, at least since the beginning of the 20th century, had private, non recorded meetings with foreign leaders.
