I might have to make a pilgrimage to visit the “Dolly Parton” Bridge north of Mobile. I know it is not officially named that, but I think the state should rename it in honor of her instead of General W.K. Wilson Jr. Bridge.
Maybe someone could start a shrine and drop off some flowers at foot of the bridge.

Dolly is in the same company as Mark Twain, John Wayne, and Joe DiMaggio. She was absolutely an American legend. I would much rather lower the flag for her than Bill Clinton or Joe Biden. Dolly was one of the people that made people all over the world admire the USA.

On one of her appearances on the Tonight Show, Johnny Carson shared with her that the city of Sevierville had invited him to attend the ceremony for the renaming of Highway 411 in Sevierville as "Dolly Parton Parkway". Dolly joked that it was a pretty flat stretch of highway and that maybe they should have renamed a stretch of I-40 for her.
Dolly and Johnny had a special relationship...she even wrote this song for him.
