If the rumors are true that Alleva is out and that JBE and some other government officials are negotiating with big name AD’s and actually get one, do you think the average LA resident looks past the things most people on this board and myself hate about JBE’s governance and vote him back in?

Why the frick do you think he negotiates with the potential Athletic Directors?

ETA: It's this kind of complete idiocy that gets Democrats elected in a Republican state. Oh geez, we hired a great Athletic Director. JBE must have had a hand in it, so shucks, I'll vote for him.

The state legislature is intertwined with the inner workings of LSU and LSU athletics. He doesn’t have to do anything to get credit by association. A post on tRant just mentioned his name as helping to arrange communications between LSU board and the AD at aTm

If LSU Athetics has any effect on who is elected Governor, then it will just prove further how backwoods Louisiana politics still remains.

"Jindal didn't have the stones to fire the AD and hire a good one."

Sometimes y'all crack me up.

I wouldn't care if the governor hired my brother. If I despise the gov's politics I still wouldn't vote for him.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the average Louisiana voter. JBE could try to take some credit if the next AD hire is a homerun, and I promise you a shitton of Boudreauxs and Broussards will believe him and pull the lever.

Say what you want about JBE but he has his name out there and he is shown doing things.....something his opponents cannot say.....quick.....show me one accomplishment by Ralph Abraham or Rispone that has hit the news.....time starts running now.

Like threatening LSU football to try to get his tax increases?

Are we looking past that?

LA gov should have no input on LSU except helping hire a system President. The fact that JBE is more involved than that is enough for me to vote him out
