What is being hid? Conspiracy theories have festered because of the slow rollout of her name.
Also, the Pentagon obviously strategically released her name to media outlets before the soldiers name was officially released to get out in front of the story. This is not transparency but a PR blitz pure and simple:

Army Capt. Rebecca Lobach, 28, was in the top 20% of all ROTC cadets nationwide in her class and then served as an aviation officer from 2019 to 2025. She was assigned to the 12th Aviation Battalion.
On Wednesday, Lobach, 28, was killed when a Black Hawk helicopter she was aboard and American Airlines Flight 5342 collided near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, located just outside of Washington. D.C. Any woman in a combat role or combat support role is a DEI hire. Woman soldiers in combat occupations were the original DEI hires decades before the term existed. Same applies to female cops and firefighters.

Her social media is gone and so is the brothers and her bio at Sewanee Tigers basketball is gone. A picture and not much else - other girls have all kinds of information on their page. Not her.
