So you are also advocating for fast lanes?
Free market is gonna free market. The internet is not like a river stream or a grassland, you're not entitled to it. If you don't like the internet without net neutrality, then don't use it. Simple.

How exactly does Net Neutrality give ISPs more power over consumers?
Title 2.

Right we are going to be nickle and dimed for access to sites which we have full access to now. The websites don’t get that money though, they still have to be paid as well and even more so since they are going to have to pay kickbacks to the ISPs as well. Cost of internet goes up, innovation goes down, and the US gives up its dominance of the internet and the next Silicon Valley takes root in Europe or Asia.

Net nutrality is a communistic ideal that the likes of a Marxist-Leninist would love.
Luckily, we live in America where these types of things can get shot down before the impact our society in a big way.

If that were true, wouldn't the ISPs be fore NN?
Because they don't want to be a government run monopoly.

here's a list of every congressman who supports the repeal of Net Neutrality and how much money they've received from the telecommunications industry
How about the list of them that take money from silicon valley.
The problem you and the idiot cuckhomey21 have is that the other side isn't the people...It's silicon valley.
The market is the people.

That's a terrifying way to look at it.
Are you ok with applying the same logic to access to education?

No. Now that the ISP's can be encouraged financially to advertise for whomever, expect nonadvertising entities to have severe reductions of access.
Think of it this way. Facebook/google/amazon/whomever starts paying Comcast to direct people to their services. Given most people already use the internet to visit these sites anyway, why would they treat all websites equally? What would compel the ISP's to treat nonadvertising entities with the same bandwidth? My guess would be that the financial resources of silicon valley far outweigh any negative reprecussions of any loss of customer base.
Further, if facebook/google agrees to give up their users data to internet providers in lieu of preferential website bandwidth, they can really start to put the screws into every aspect of your daily life.

Meh. Net Neutrality (the ideal) is easily achievable with out Net Neutrality (the current FCC order).
Title 2, for something as fast changing and innovative as the internet, is the absolute worst thing for it.

Right, the internet has been terrible for us thus far.

I cant tell if you are serious or not, but if you think the telecom industry is part of the free market, then

ISPs are a monopoly that border on a public utility.
Giving ISPs complete control over the content of the internet and the ability to affect the market and content with 0 input or oversight from the end user is terrifying to me.

Bingo.
No need for more government

It was. Until the ISPs stopped agreeing to function under net neutrality.
Comcast was caught secretly throttling websites and traffic. They had been doing it for a long time before someone finally caught them.
It's almost impossible for the consumers to put a check on these ISPs. Not one single poster has been able to provide a plausible way to check them.
Here are the two most popular checks posted so far:
Maybe everyone should just quit using the internet. Which is as insane as it is ignorant.
And.
Hey there are tons of ISPs everywhere. If you don't like the only monopolistic high-speed ISP in your region you could always switch to dial up through a phone line. That'll show em.

So, hand it over to the government to do the same thing? Good solution

Stop being so narrow sighted. Both sides can achieve the same goals.

2014 congressional proposal. Would have achieved it without Title 2. everyone would have been happy.

I'm fine with repealing the current NN laws that we have because there are some things that I disagree with hidden in there
but I do believe there needs to be some consumer protection since these are government created monopolies we are dealing with
this isn't the free market
