Has anyone ever been able to explain how net neutrality stifles innovation?

I wonder how long it will take the globalist mega corps Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T to shutdown 4chan/Infowars/Drudge and the other alt-right hubs after they're given total unrestricted control of internet traffic
Like the same companies ban FoxNews, NewsMax, OAN, and Fox Business from their cable packages?

Because their governments followed the same pattern as the Texas deregulation of the power industry.
American ISPs have already fought to not allow others to share infrastructure.

The internet isn’t cable tv, you aren’t currently paying for all of the websites. The websites don’t get their money from internet subscriptions through the ISP. All you are doing is saying I want to pay a middle man more.

And here it is again, liberals can't be trusted without NN.

I don't understand the uproar, you get tier charged for bandwidth already.
Verizon already decides what kind of quality of video you receive depending on the data plan.
We literally have something called a PCR-F that regulates all of this.

This article doesn't answer my question. The article you posted shows a need to deregulate the areas in which competing ISPs are provided. I'm all for that but that has not happened yet.
Until it does NN is the best option.

I read a few articles this morning and basically the argument is that it stops the incentive to innovate and there are some rules within NN that you must basically ask government permission to change things within your network, which again, could remove the incentive to try new technology

This is the fight that should be fought, not further cementing them as the only providers.

basically the argument is that it stops the incentive to innovate
The argument for how it stifles innovation is that it stops the incentive to innovate?
That's not an argument. That's rewording my question.

Right now you are paying a certain price to eat at a buffet. Imagine paying the same price to get a buffet with less options.

NN requires title 2, which specifically prevents exactly the type of changes I'm saying need to happen.
NN just further cements the existing ISPs as the sole providers, it doesn't open anything up.

The question still stands...
Why do you people distrust a bunch of individual companies, yet place total faith in one unelected government entity?
The progressive melt over Net Neutrality(tying it to climate change, abortion, BLM, and the rest) is all the proof I need to say frick net neutrality.

Or a lower price to simply order a steak.

Then you won't like the next step.
Consider why Verizon / ATT / and even TMO are buying up backhaul providers.
I'll give you a hint.
You will be able to get 1GB OTA in about ~18-24 months.

It's astounding how few people get this.

You will be buying internet from either Verizon / ATT / or TMO in the next 5 years.
