It encourages the monopoly that already exists to have more power over their consumers.

The argument for how it stifles innovation is that it stops the incentive to innovate?

That's not an argument. That's rewording my question

Did you just choose to ignore the second part of my post?

Repealing NN stifles innovation by creating unnecessary barriers of entry for future startups.

Keeping NN in place does not stifle innovation, it’s been the defacto law of the land for internet providers ever since there was an internet and finally codified a coup,e of years ago. I’d say we’ve witnessed lots and lots of innovation on the internet from the days it first rolled out.

The internet isn’t cable tv, you aren’t currently paying for all of the websites. The websites don’t get their money from internet subscriptions through the ISP. All you are doing is saying I want to pay a middle man more.

I'm paying for access to all of the websites when if someone offered me less money for say, unlimited access to Amazon Prime but only 3 gb access to Netflix, I'd probably take that.

And yet, they lost the fight elsewhere

Actually they have won that fight in some American cities, to not allow other to use their poles and infrastructure.

Taking away NN will kill outside competition and innovation.

If that were true, wouldn't the ISPs be fore NN?

Do you realize how dumb that sounds?

NN requires title 2, which specifically prevents exactly the type of changes I'm saying need to happen.

These types of changes didn't occur before NN. What makes you think they will magically change once it is rolled back? Would you be willing to give up a monopoly?

NN is the only protection we have right now.

This is not true for all of the NN rules

Can't wait for my Internet to go back to what is was in 2015!!!!

A lot of you guys are going to look like retards in the coming years when nothing happens

You mean that time when ISP’s were already beginning to get more and more bold with their extortionary tactics which prompted the need for the regulation?

And they have spent millions in lobbying annually to get this capability back, I’m sure, because they have no future plans of returning to those tactics.

You are paying for x amount of data delivered to you and whatever speed you pay for. You aren’t paying for websites.

Are you going to pay the ISPs after NN or stop coming here as a protest once NN is gone?

How exactly does Net Neutrality give ISPs more power over consumers?

Since a lot of ISPs are monopolies, under Title II the government could then come in and set rates.

If the rates are set, how incentivized do you think the ISPs are to be innovative?

Where I live the city owns the isp. They installed their own fiber and that's who I pay. I am curious how this will effect me.
