Bold assessment, considering it's the Chairman of the FCC that you're saying isn't clued in enough.

Do you think the FCC not allowing news networks beholden to the law to not intentionally spread lies is the same as what the democrats were going to do with the ministry of misinformation? Right after they told us facts about covid and the shot were false?
Do you not understand the difference between intentionally falsified polls and silencing dissenters from speaking about facts?
This is a common argument on this board from the contrarians and TDSers. One side does something legitimate, and some guy has to find an extreme example from the other side to pretend the first side is being absurd.
Your example is in no way comparable to the OP to people with the ability to think critically.

The FCC is almost 100 years old. Fake polls have been going on for a very long time. I wonder why they're doing something now. A phone call from our President?

I don't think 90% of this board knows what a "fake poll" even is. A poll that you disagree with is not fake. A poll that has a biased slant is not fake.
A fake poll is a poll that never existed and was just made up entirely. This is not happening. The president doesn't like that polls present him and republicans in a bad light and wants all information that is negative towards him suppressed.
If you truly believe these polls are useless and fake, you wouldn't worry about them for more than 2 seconds as the actual results of the election will favor the "truth".
Such a snowflake.

Simple …. overturn the repeal of Smith-Mundt …… make domestic propaganda illegal again …. problem solved

"Fake polls" meaning they're engineering those polled and deliberately oversampling favorable respondents to get a desired result.
The "Blue Wave" and "history shows the minority party wins in the midterms" narrative is meant to pre-program the electorate to the outcomes their cheating pathways have made possible.
We've discussed at length in the other election fraud prosecution threads that feature new DOJ action against illegal voters.
They want the American people to accept that it's commonplace for the Dems to win the House & Senate back in this cycle, so the polls are slanted to arrive at predetermined conclusions. The reality isn't bearing out for them the way it has in the past, so in a flailing effort to maintain "credibility", the reporting has turned into "GOP candidates are closing the gap", when in reality, wackadoodles like Talafreako were NEVER leading in Texas.
The shuttering of USAID and other fraud pathways that have been funded by laundered tax dollars will be evident in the midterms. Without the cash to make it worth a lengthy jail term when busted, the Ruby Freeman Urban Democracy Squads aren't going to put their necks on the line.
