That exactly the point I was making. These two are competitors for some people. If I just want a transport vehicle then both qualify.

If I want something that I can park in a tiny space, the BMW isn’t competition with the Moped.

If I want something that can go 100+ mph and handle interstate driving, the Moped isn’t competition with the BMW.

The two will play off each other, but as the avg American gets more educated and tech savy their demands will grow and wireless won't be able to meet that.

You have far more faith in the average american than I do.

And even if this is the case, I think next gen wireless easily meets it.

When Verizon is hitting 1g per second with 5G you don't think this will be direct competition?

A one gig wired connection will always be better than a wireless one gig connection.

This is pretty basic stuff.

The best example is places like Korea, Japan and England that have integrated them together. Even the wired is the preferred method.

Again for your average user it won't matter.

And that is who wireless and wired providers will be battling over.

Not you or I.

The average consumer will have wireless. The new 5G network has already started the ball rolling.

of course it is. Customers make trade-offs all the time. There is absolutely a price point at which your desire to park in tiny spaces will cease to exist for buying a moped

and there is absolutely a price point at which choosing a moped Will trump your desire to go 100 miles an hour

The two products set floors and ceilings for each other and they absolutely compete no matter how many scenarios you try to devise saying they won't

You might want to consider that Grandpa's been around the block a couple of times and understands business and economics and realize is that nothing is exempt from those principles. Not even your new-fangled technology

Oh really

So if BMW suddenly jacks up it's price up such that the 3 Series was $95,000 you still wouldn't consider the Kia in its place

This is what I'm talking about dude. Stick with the tech conversation because every time you drift over into business or economics things go to shite

People said the same thing about gas efficient vehicles in the 70s and look what happened.

The average motorist doesn't want 100 mph speeds. Or need

The wireless revolution will offer better integration which consumers will prefer
