I've seen the demographic going to FC Dallas games. Usually white millenials or young families, peppered with Hispanics. Most people aren't going for the soccer. It's cheap family entertainment that happens to be soccer. I wouldn't call any of the people that I know who go to be hardcore soccer fans.
The fiance of a girl I know will even tell you that and he works for FC Dallas in sales.
