“We are still investigating the facts,” FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a statement. “I am committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public. It’s up to all Americans to be vigilant, and when members of the public contact us with concerns, we must act properly and quickly.”

Why would they do this?
They're too busy creating fake terror plots to arrest people who didn't kill anyone.

How about this one?
FBI is broken in several different places.
That better for you?

What could they have done?
Can’t arrrest someone for a crime they might commit.

The FBI field office that would've handled the Cruz case was also the same one that would've handled Trump at the "Florida White House" just up the beach. Congress needs to inquire and see if the FBI handled the Cruz case differently than normal, did they have resources allocated to Muh Russians, and did that ultimately result in Cruz not being properly addressed.

But you can take a gun from someone who hasn't committed a crime, amiriteoramiriteorwhat?
Point here being that the FBI doesn't actually do what people think it does. The FBI doesn't put even the smallest ding in the national crime rate.

They dropped the ball.
If the FBI can’t successfully follow up on direct first-person tips... how the hell are they going to do “mental background checks” on 141 million gun owners?

For reporting people that have committed a crime.
I’ll ask again, what could they have done?

Fixed it for him

FBI gets hundreds of tips. They do not have the man power to investigate every tip.
They did investigate, the kid was clearly dangerous having been expelled from school and possessing an arsenal of weapons and ammunition. He stated his intentions.
If this report is correct, he was reported multiple times. The FBI appears to be highly incompetent

gee, lets recap
- someone who PERSONALLY knew the shooter
- said he was a direct threat to be a school shooter
- said he had just purchased an AR
- said he was really concerned something was about to go down.
- this wasn't reported 11 years ago, this was reported LAST frickING MONTH.
i don't know rebel, what could the FBI have possibly done with such vague info?'
i mean they're busy & junk amirite!?!

Well , let's see. How about investigate the kid, access the threat, find out if he has weapons, keep an eye on him. Arrest him if necessary or hold him. Maybe prevent the crime by discouraging him or interrupting his plan.
If I were one of the victims parents, I would love to have this as a do-over.
I don't know, what about you?

What could they have done?
You’re plenty weird. Suppose I call the FBI and tell them how weird you are.
Would you expect to be arrested?
