Funny, the only people who have had "real" violence done against them have been Republicans.. Steve Scalise shot, other GOP lawmakers shot at. USSC Justices had attempts of violence stopped right before it happened. Trump shot and almost killed.
I don't see Republicans doing this to Dem lawmakeres.

If you’re going to have a town with a KKK chapter, rural all white Alabama would be the poster child of the liberal’s idea of where they’d be.
We had none, even in the days you might expect there might be because it wasn’t the poster child for villainy. Yes we’d have know who they were, everyone knew who the local bootlegger was including the cops. Small towns have no secrets, everyone knows everyone and gossip is the biggest form of entertainment.
Btw, I don’t remember anyone ever saying a cross word to her, we all liked her because she was nice, but could be tough as nails if needed.

Yep, this is very true. I grew up in a small town too. It's very true.
The area of the state I grew up in, was pretty thick with Klan during the time I was growing up.
Chapters in most of the northern counties, and multiple sundown towns.
But yeah, we had a pretty good idea of who might be wearing white hoods. But... we weren't supposed to.
