100% correct.
This will likely be demonstrated in the future when the Chinese roll out a new aircraft (or countermeasures) and the MIC proclaims we must begin development of a replacement for the F-35. Further demonstrated by the fact that R&D for the F-35 was paid for by taxpayers, rather than contractors. This will allow contractors to sell the widgets they developed for this platform, to attach to existing platforms, to re-purpose, and so on - making a profit on those sales, never having paid for the R&D, but having proprietary ownership of the technology and mechanisms involved. It's a windfall.
The F-35 has been a grand racketeering scheme from its onset.
This opens up the very, very ugly possibility that defense contractors colluded with Hillary and others to aid our enemies. Unfortunately our AG has an ungodly amount of cowardice, stupidity, and a complete inability to see that such matters require investigation.
With $21 Trillion or so unaccounted for from the DoD in the past 20 years, roughly, there are clearly many motives for such behavior.
