Fauci used as an excuse to why he’s failed so much on covid because science is always evolving.

Newton’s Laws are not settled. They have never been observed to be violated. However they may be someday. Science is never settled...unless it’s a political weapon...then it’s “settled”.

When science fits the political narrative, it’s settled, and make declarative statements and use them to make policy.
When the science doesn’t fit the narrative, it’s ignored or modified.

Science is evolving on climate change also. People are starting to realize that grazing ruminants don't add to greenhouse gasses. Cattle can save the world from ruinous plant based agriculture that's destroying our topsoil.

At best. In most cases, the scientists that buck the political narrative are shouted down, ostracized, defunded, lose tenure, and/or recieve threats.

When the science showed that states which had the hardest lockdowns, covid cases were worse, this science was ignored. Whenever science showed masks didn’t work, it was also ignored.
