Facebook was a Pentagon project

I'm amazed that this isn't brought up more. DARPA created social media, and Zuckerberg is just a stooge. The same day they shut down lifelog (Feb 4, 2004) is the same day the pimple faced college kid MZ started Facebook.

But civil libertarians immediately pounced on the project when it debuted last spring, arguing that LifeLog could become the ultimate tool for profiling potential enemies of the state.
Harvard Crimson
quote:
When Mark E. Zuckerberg ’06 grew impatient with the creation of an official universal Harvard facebook, he decided to take matters into his own hands.
After about a week of coding, Zuckerberg launched thefacebook.com last Wednesday afternoon. The website combines elements of a standard House face book with extensive profile features that allow students to search for others in their courses, social organizations and Houses.
“Everyone’s been talking a lot about a universal face book within Harvard,” Zuckerberg said. “I think it’s kind of silly that it would take the University a couple of years to get around to it. I can do it better than they can, and I can do it in a week.”

bullshite. First of all, lifelog wasn’t even a social
Networking thing.
Second, I call bullshite on a trademarked logo for a government program.

Was the IRS LimeWire and DEA Napster?

Yea, social media isn't really about that either. Its all about owning your life digitally and being able sell your data. The state probably has more nefarious purposes.
USA Today 2003
quote:
The agency doesn't consider LifeLog an anti-terrorism system, but rather a tool to capture "one person's experience in and interactions with the world" through a camera, microphone and sensors worn by the user. Everything from heartbeats to travel to Internet chatting would be recorded.
The goal is to create breakthrough software that helps analyze behavior, habits and routines, according to Pentagon documents reviewed by The Associated Press. The products of the unclassified project would be available to both the private sector and other government agencies — a concern to privacy advocates.
DARPA's Jan Walker said LifeLog is intended for users who give their consent to be monitored.

And our nation’s wholly corrupted national security likewise provided seed money for the entity that became Google.
The combination of decades of proggie indoctrination in government schools and the rise of Social Media/Big Tech wholly compliant to the dictates of the Deep State has unfortunately captured the minds of a generation of kids.
Several generations of kids are being led to believe that the government indefinitely locking down society is a perfectly normal affair.
Google’s true origin partly lies in CIA and NSA research grants for mass surveillance….

Again, the Pentagon nixed Lifelog on the exact day Facebook was launched.

Ron Watkins just repackaged it and regurgitated it to you a decade later
And this refutes the FACTS laid out in the OP how, boosiedumbass?

No sh*+ Sherlock.
The Wired piece makes it perfectly clear that Lifelog was shutdown after it was vigorously opposed by civil libertarians.

The timelines are correct.
You are right on the logo, that was made by someone years later

It doesn’t. It just doesn’t mean this is something revelatory from Q. It means Ron Watkins just haiku’d a 15 year old news story that any internet-savvy person was already aware of.
But of course the Boomers bit it hook, line and sinker

A thread about FB’s Deep State connections appears and boosie comes in here sh*+posting on cue with “refutations” that are wholly irrelevant to the discussion.
Serious question: is boosie a bot? Or just wholly incapable of making a coherent point?

What are you talking about? Who linked to a Ron Watkins piece?

Honestly have no idea what you are talking about and why this has anything to do with Q or CodeMonkey. Also I am a few generations behind being a boomer.
Do you have any comments on the nature of the question, or do you just like white Knighting for your government daddies

Limewire and Napster were way too cool to be the IRS and DEA.

Do you not realize that the very same Wired piece that you linked to “debunk” the OP’s post is the same piece linked to by the OP?
