Riiiiiight. And the NSA doesn't store your phone calls & emails.

I don't think these alt-right dickheads are incapable of understanding. They just don't want to be bothered with, you know, actually reading the article. All they want to do is share an outrageous headline. Thinking is work, and they're just lazy as frick.

Another shining example off our society trying to treat all the symptoms while ignoring the underlying causes.
Our current society had cancer and we just keep trying to take advil for the pain instead of treating the fricking cancer
Instead of trying out absolute hardest to find and delete revenge porn after it's posted shouldn't we be telling women to just stop being attention whores and sluts? You want to know how to endure that you never have a revenge porn of yourself show up on the internet? Don't send naked pics and videos of yourself out all over the internet.
Also, how the frick can a computer recognize an image that it doesn't have stored or access to?
And how is a massive database of naked pictures in the hands of Facebook thought of as a good idea to anyone?

Sounds like they are trying to develop a system similar to that used by NCMEC.

What could go wrong....

Yep, absolutely nothing could or would go wrong with this...

I understand perfectly what they are attempting to accomplish and I read the article BUT cataloging nude images in an attempt to stop the spread of nude images is eventually going to be a problem... Whether it is through a hack or employees sharing or a rouge employee releasing them...

My money is an employee being dumb enough to bring their personal PC to Geek Squad and then finding a cache of this stuff on there, which gets spread back into circulation.

By all means, be the first dumbass to send your nudes over to facebook. Also, you should really consider sending your bank routing and account number to that Nairobian Prince.
With geniuses like Quarterite, is it a wonder how the Democrats got "hacked" by falling for simplistic phishing scams?

We can all see how it is supposed to work, but would you trust sending you or wife’s nudes to Super Mega Corp.® even though they say all they are saving is a hash?
