I keep waiting for this to happen. The market seems ripe for it.

I agree but unfortunately my business is tied into it for several different reasons, sad but true. Free marketing and get the same amount of hits from it than when I use to spend 2-300 a year on websites. Also some groups I'm in I can buy and sell tools to other auto glass guys and keep up with current events around the industry.
ETA: Also like poster below stated. I have a lot of family in Guatemala I keep up with that way. Sure we can text, but it's an easy to see their pictures and they love seeing ours. I don't post much on my page but wife tags me with pics of kids and my Guatemalan family really enjoys it. Cool to keep up and message old friends from far off. I've unfollowed most of the political people whether left or right wing.

I don’t know why people continue to use a product that censors only one side
1) It's a convenient way to keep up with friends and family that are a thousand miles away. There are some people I enjoy staying in touch with and seeing pictures of who I would completely lose contact with.
2) If all of the vocal conservatives and libertarians left FB, it would leave only the leftists and the uninformed and otherwise uninvolved members. There would be enough remaining to keep FB active, but the left would take complete control of yet another major communication platform.
Conservatives can't simply remove themselves from everything and expect to win this war. We have to fight back.

My account is tied in with our family business fb page. If I delete my account then I lose my business page account - shite show

The free market is about to take care of Facebook. Twitter now has a rival in Parler. It will not be long before something simular happens for facebook.
I hope this happens but I hope its not just a place where people post the same (but only conservative) crap they do on Facebook. Id really like a place to just keep up with friends and their families but with quietly conservative principled founders.

I have brought in hundreds of people outside of church to this. It’s just a shame that fb won’t allow this anymore.
It’s why we wake up in the morning - “can’t miss that 7:14”
The whole world is stupid right now
I’m working on a way to get it on YouTube or another streaming platform

Our church has services on FB three times a week. So far all are still up.

The problem is that people have been conditioned to use Facebook. 76% of adults 25-54 use Facebook every single day. Many of these people are straight up addicted to Facebook.
I personally run three large pages - all have Christian undertones. Ive never had a post flagged, never had anything deleted, or never had anything come up with Facebook. 100,000 followers between the three pages.

I wonder if it’s because I am a Trump supporter and so is my Pastor?

Social media is a tough subject for me.
1. It’s an excellent tool for promoting my band, organizing shows, and storing and sharing pictures.
2. It’s a great way to waste time when I truly have nothing else better to do.
3. It lets me feel some connection to people who I rarely see in person anymore.
4. The events feature is much better than the local newspaper and any other source I’ve found for being aware of local garage sales, benefits, concerts, festivals, comedy shows, beer/wine tastings, food truck roundups, trivia nights, etc.
5. It actively sells my private data for profit.
6. It actively pushes political opinions I do not agree with.
7. It actively censors political opinions I do agree with.
8. It promotes group-think and cancel culture.
9. It’s an addicting depression engine.
10. I fear that cutting myself off from Facebook will cause me to miss out on events, social gatherings, and opportunities to socialize with people I rarely see face to face.
11. I fear that whatever “time-wasting” activity I replace Facebook with will be even more toxic and anti-social.
12. I’m single in my late 20’s, and most dating apps require a Facebook account.
13. I get some good memes there.

I got off Facebook years ago....you know it is not mandatory to be part of that nonsense, and then you would not have to complain about it. If more people just worried about their own lives and quit worrying about what others are doing on Facebook...etc we actually may be ok in this country.

Quit supporting Facebook. There are better streaming services available.
