With so much going on, people forgot about the "Mexican" problem that will soon be removed. I just pray the strikes are simultaneous.

It will be glorious.

The tough thing about this closure is El Paso is not really near any other large cities. It's not like closing a major airport on the east coast, where you might be 90 miles from Baltimore, DC, Philly or NYC. The nearest big city from El Paso is ABQ or Phoenix, which are both hundreds of miles away.

The world is awash in cheap Iglas, I have zero doubt at least some of the cartels have them.

Time to remind everyone about the major, major arms dealer we traded for a basketball player.

Hopefully it's just in case and we are not putting boots on the ground.

I'd imagine intelligence has discovered the cartel in the area has some sort of SAMs in their possession.

Weird. I just read where they plan to do the same in New Orleans, tomorrow. Something’s going on.

If we're gonna put boots on the ground somewhere, El Paso is a better place than Tehran.

I literally was planning to go to Santa Teresa NM for work in the next couple of weeks.

Huge data center project going in there, largest in the world (for now) that will be flying in loads and loads equipment and materials…the money will get pissed.

I saw that on X... figured since no one here posted about it, it must not be true.

In New Orleans, a separate NOTAM was also issued early Wednesday morning for five separate areas with a radius of “three nautical miles.”
“No UAS operations are authorized in the areas covered by this NOTAM (except as described),” read the alert for New Orleans.
“Temporary flight restrictions for Special Security Reasons” was also the reason given for this NOTAM. No other information has been provided about the closures at this time.

Thankfully it does now seem to be Mexico and not Tehran.

Talk about fricking up the airline industry... El Paso, ok, you can deal with it.

To shut down New Orleans, that would be massive and would go against the cartel angle.

If true, 17k' may be well safe of the known range of whatever weapon was used

10 days may be knee jerk overkill until they rectify the situation. Hypothetically if this was accurate they could conceivably neutralize the threat and reopen airspace in a day or so.

War with Mexico should only take us 10 or so days
