Nah, Iran created the problem. Their direct actions are the root cause.

We aren't blocking the straight.

So, why are they blocking the straight again?

think calling a half dead regime the "same regime" is a stretch. They will never be the same after what T-daddy did to them.

Well they control the military and they control and have shut down one of the most important trade routes in the world.

In a way he made them more prominent on the world

The argument was whether we should care at all that the Strait of Hormuz is closed (which we should), not whether we should be taking any action in the region at all, but ok tough guy.
We should not let the Strait of Hormuz dictate our strategy in the region. It's not decision-relevant. And yes, I'm very very tough.

Energy commodity economics seems to be a bridge too far for many here.
Some of us understand it. We just don't care because it's not relevant to doing what needs doing. My toughness tells me this.

Do you not understand that oil is a global commodity, sold at auction, where supply generally moves to the highest bidder, thus dictating prices worldwide?

US companies don't give domestic discounts.

Remind me why we hate everyone, and why this makes it better somehow?
The history is that we've been paying for everyone else for decades. America First also means other countries have to carry their own fricking water now and will have to forgive us if we don't bend over backwards when they're mad at us. They're welcome to be as mad about us and talk about us behind our backs at dinner parties. I'm good with that.

I'm pretty sure he did not say he destroyed Iran's capability of "ever creating a nuke." He might have said that he destroyed their current capability. Even then, if he got additional information, do you not want him acting on that information? Or are you just happy to try to manufacture a "got heeem" moment on this message board?

Yup.

Europe will be paying a steep price for not assisting in this.

Not really. Iran won't do anything until Trump is out of office. By then another President will step in to help

Yeah I'm sure breaking things and telling everyone else it's their problem is a great diplomatic strategy. This is essentially full retard diplomacy.

I'm pretty sure it was factored into the decision and determined it was worth it.

Sometimes it's good to not be a little bitch in life, go over there and kick the shite out of the neighborhood bully. Deal with the fallout later.

This is a complete 180 from what Trump was saying just "two weeks" ago. Its amazing how MAGA will conform or contort to anything Trump says.

You’re a moron. The position changed when Europe decided they wanted the USA to do it for them. You really have a hard time understanding allegiance and strategy, don’t you?
