There seems to be a whole lot of this lately. The governors have no control over how much money is printed and laundered, so no reason to challenge.

Split ticket voters still exist. We saw plenty of this in 2016 and 2020. We also saw quite a bit of this in PA, given how Oz outperformed Mastriano by 4 points or so.
Also, the Dem candidate for Governor is an ugly old guy and the Dem candidate for Senate is a woman.

Washington DC had a plan to try and rid themselves of Trump.
Republicans would not support the candidates chosen by their voters and Democrats would do Democrat things.
If the candidates chosen by Republican voters had won, some former President would have emerged more powerful than ever.

Maybe, but not because of voter turnout. The people have overwhelmingly elected to throw out the Dem filth in both 2020 and 2022 and the filth took control anyway.

The largest political party in the US are independents at over 40% of the electorate. We vote split tickets because some parties put up let's trans an 8 year old whackadoodles and other parties put up elections are all stolen wingnuts.
