A horrible tool for recruiting. Eo's can be undone at anytime.

Good Lord you sometimes are painfully stupid. That's not what they mean when they mentioned it being related to recruiting.

What different rules?

Either this is a policy change affecting a chosen few, or it isn’t. Which one?

it's actually affecting every single player. Promotion requirements affect every single person also but not everybody gets promoted. We don't say then that promotions are only for the select few

Jesus man you're just arguing to argue at this point

It isn’t. That was easy. Next question.

Since when have military promotions been changed so someone can pursue millions of dollars?

The rule change is available to every fricking athlete. Just like the potential for promotion. It's really simple.

Yall acting like there's gonna be all kinds of service academy players going pro. There aren't many, and that likely won't change much in this case. If you're a future NFL talent, highly recruited HS player, you are probably pursuing that route at a more visible university for those kind of players.

If you're in the quite small group of potential pro players on the service academy teams, then there ya go, this comes into play and helps them out. But it's not going to be much more, if any more, common than it always has been.

So this will absolutely not cause any dissension in the locker room?

Virtually every Power 5 locker room has players who will be drafted and players who will struggle to find a 9-5 job once they finish school.

By your logic, it’s a wonder that any of those programs even function with all the jealousy/dissension that must be going on.

This thread is a perfect exhibit of the reality that you can get a liberal to take basically any position just by getting Trump to take the opposite position

You won't find a single liberal on this board from 2016 complaining when Obama did this

Not really. At other colleges, athletes are free to try out as free agents.

I wasn’t even aware he had done it. It would’ve been one of the few things he did that I agreed with.

At the invitation of a team.

You really think Joe Schmoe offensive guard who’s ridden the pine for 5 years is going to get one of those?

Look at the UT roster. There are WAY more of those than there are Sam Ehlingers.
