I would suggest, it could be. Or at least my hope would be, it’s the ultimate goal.

Naw man. Go re-read the first few pages.

These people aren't asking to be left alone. That's "conservatism". They want another direction/label with more authority over the population.

The Left argued for years they just wanted to be left alone. Then it became you can’t disagree with anything they do and must “celebrate” immorality. Now if you don’t force your own children to be degenerates they want to take them away. There is no “live and let live” now with the Left. It’s what we want but it’s a losing strategy.

See? At least he's honest and has removed the veil.

How about Western Culturalists - better than the "uni-Party and with apologies to nobody - because if/when western culture is ever hounded out of existence, the third world will collapse of its own weight.

Most of these people don't appreciate any aspect of Western Culture. And you are underrating how well liberalization has worked in the 3rd world. The 'center' of the world will likely move back to South Asia/East Asia, as it was during the majority of history.

You make the mistake of being objective.

For extremists, it is PERFECTLY reasonable to engage in a pattern of coercion, so long as the coercion is directed toward the “proper” ends.

Exactly. Like say firing people if they don’t take a vaccine or use the wrong pronoun? Great point Hanky.

You are welcome.

You have both agreed with my supposition regarding extremist behavior and confirmed my premise that most extremists see only the OPPOSITION as being “extremist.”

Interesting take. He's easily the most wishy washy person on this site.

SFP goes with the wind. When the popular opinion changes, so will he.

The reason you get shite is that the argument is “yeah left is bad, we’ve already covered that, but let’s dig in to the right more.”
I have never seen the point of repeatedly arguing in favor of a proposition on which all participants are already in agreement. that is not a discussion. It is just a pep rally.

In this context, the rub lies in showing the OTHER extreme that they engage in EXACTLY the same behaviors. Most will never see it. A few will.

The original colonies decided they wanted to be

left alone
from over reaching top down authority. But how could they get there by sitting in a cabin and not bothering anybody? Or to go out and be called various names by those you disagree with.

What you are saying is true conservatives shouldn't do sh!t about anything otherwise they are not what they say they are.

I’ll make this simple as an analogy.

Sauron=Left
Gollum=SFP
Hobbits=Traditional conservatives
Gandalf= whatever populist the GOP hates at the moment

The traditional conservatives want to be left alone but end up enslaved by evil unless Gandalf rallies good men to fight.

You guys are even copying the Left with bad fantasy analogies, just instead of Harry Potter you're using LOTR

Let them.

What I don't get, is the "Republicans" here want to emulate the behaviors they loathe of people they loathe.

SFP is like when atheists tell Christians "you're not being very Christ like"

"No no you're just supposed to be docile libertarians" - sorry. Been there tried that. You just want the same tax benefits as married couples right? No slippery slope? Bull shite.

It's YOUR decadence that caused the need for a more authoritarian response. Reap what you sow bitch.

When Biden has done all the fascist stuff they cried that Trump was going to do, it's pretty hard to argue that our side is fascist.
