Hospitals will work with you in the same way as they sell off their debt to collector for pennies on the dollar. Seems more logical to start there. But, I've never had the problem so not so sure.

Yes and no. In 2020 I had a procedure that the hospital billed me $268,000. I had BCBS which told the hospital they’re only getting $120,000 which BCBS paid $119,300. I paid $700.00
