The senate nominated him?

Basically yeah

So you are saying Trump is too much of a pussy to stand up to them or too much of an idiot to not fall into their trap. Or even worse completely unable to move forward with any of his own nominations or agenda.

Why would I vote for him again?

Id have more respect if you just admitted he made a mistake.

You’re asking that Trump be tagged for a mistake that was discovered only well after Trump’s original decision to select Barr. Also known as “hindsight is 20/20”. All I’ll say os that idea warrants very, very little credibility.

Desantis strikes me as a Barr type of guy. Desantis would likely have Barr on a short list of cabinet candidates, maybe even AG again.

If the DEMS get TRUMP in a DC courtroom, it could be that Desantis has to run...

Given that The AG was the primary person who could have done anything regarding election fraud I’d say it’s a spot that he needed to nail above all else,

Instead he nominated Jeff Sessions and Bill Barr.

Hindsight may be 20/20 but it definitely needs to be taken into account when picking a nomination to run for President.

SDV’s contention is that barr wasn’t even trumps nominee.

Yeah I’m not familiar with that last thing there, but as far as nailing it is concerned, was there any reason at all to think at the time other than hey, looks like he nailed it I guess. Did you have any trepidation about Barr during the search and selection period? Or even a good bit afterwards??

**But yes, we agree now that he’s a sack of turds, for anyone confused with my post.

That’s not my job. My job is not to vet nominees. That is the Presidents and the presidents alone. And both AGs were a spectacular miss

If Trump got tricked into nominating him for what ended up being the most crucial position what’s to say that he won’t get fooled again?

And why should I not factor that into my decision in the primary?

Of course your job is not to vet nominees, that’s ridiculous and preposterous. But you do have the ability to apply the concept of hindsight to anything you wish, specifically that it’s asinine to rely upon it, especially solely, to make final conclusions. Since football season is upon us, I’ll use by way of example that applying your current logic to the situation would equate to finding complete fault with every team’s owner or athletic director for any and all seasons not culminating in a championship.

My reply already said on Page 2 of this thread.

Don't support Trump that's your deal. You have posted like Karl Rove for DeSantis.

You seem to be ignoring DeSantis' cabinet if he became President. His VP will be dictated to him. The GOP say they won't pay for this or that, or legal fees, or the balloons at the convention if you don't do as they say.

Even Trump had to negotiate with them. Ron will have his cabinet picked out and his wives first brunch with Jill Biden planned down to the conversation.

Trump still did very well when he was bucked by the Turtle & GOP on Trump's budget, The Wall, Immigration, Trump's health Care proposal, and on and on...

They wanted to JFK Trump remove him with impeachment for his Rose Garden Speech dismantling the Paris Accords & saying Climate change was a Hoax, and telling the snotty assed marxist world leaders to pay up.

Trump mostly pissed China off. Which is good they are our enemy. He was tougher on Russia than any of the other jackasses. China ordered Trump to GTFO and OUR govt obeyed & they placed China's buttboy Biden.

What part of DeSantis will not be allowed to govern especially in geo-politics any other way but the usual... ISIS needs to be on the run, war on terror, give money to everyone, pro globalism. don't you understand?

I think Desantis is a damned fined Governor but until he shows differently... he is all hat no cattle.

Some diehard DeSantis supporters WANT dem lite globalism and neocon wars and canned DC speeches complete with fake political correctness, diplomacy, climate change talk...

Some are naive in thinking DeSantis shall be Trump with a filter.

Which one are you?

No.

To use your analogy it would be as if I was the LSU athletic director and re hired Les Miles or Ed Orgeron. Sure they had some good times but they were miserably poor at the end in their judgement on coordinators.

Does it make their tenures failures? No. Did they have massive successes in their tenures? Yes. Does that mean they should be rehired. No. They have demonstrated poor judgement and the potential for better is worth it.

You are talking out your arse. You speak as if all of this is a certainty when every single thing DeSantis has done has been to the contrary. It is amazing watching you guys tie yourselves in knots convincing yourselves DeSantis is now a deep state fake because Bill Barr endorsed him.

Think about it like this. He jumped into the swamp both arms tied behind his back with the media and congress against him. Then his cabinet turned out to be near totally rotten. Hell they lied about the war effort telling him things that weren't even true. There's a blindfold.

Both arms behind his back and blindfolded and he still kicked butt and did right by the people. Two impeachments, subpoena everybody he knows, raided his house, and who knows what else.

I think hes the guy they don't want but they can't beat.

So what this boils down to is that you have basically no regard for the universally recognized notion that relying solely upon hindsight for one’s conclusions, that reliance upon hindsight receives little to no credit, and is looked down upon informal terms, you’re dismissing that, correct? That is definitely what you’re asserting because otherwise you’d agree that while it didn’t turn out well, there was no possible way to foresee that in them nomination/selection process.

Realize if DeSantis isn't Trump with a filter we are all fricked. After Romney, Ryan, Rubio, I have my doubts. How stupid would people have to be to trust the GOP?

You cut off my quote so answer it.
