Party in power has lost seats all but 3 times in the last hundred years, and we were at war for two of those elections. FDR ‘34, Clinton ‘98 and Bush ‘02.

I said in a thread earlier today that the only people on the right fired up to vote will be Fox News boomers.

realize it’s a POSSIBILITY, but everyone is acting like it’s a no-brainer.

MAGA is anything but "America-First" right now. The younger conservative base is busy following their influencer warriors into battle against one another. Independents and moderates see a total shitshow being portrayed, with some of the criticism actually being warranted for once. Our deficit is skyrocketing and there are a total of six people in Congress that fought against it. We're still funding Ukraine. We're still funding both Israel and Palestine.

I'm voting exclusively for Republicans when the midterms roll around, but I'm holding my nose while doing so and acknowledging that it's only because "we'll, he's better than the other guy". Many casual voters can't even see the big picture and aren't motivated. They've forgotten that the southern border is now completely locked down, but they're convinced that ICE and CBP are actually targeting legal America citizens. They're convinced that the Trump admin is blowing up fishing boats in international waters and not cartel smuggling boats. And Trump isn't doing himself any favors in reacting very poorly to the shite being flung upon him.

Yeah, the spineless, ineffectual GOPe Etatist Kleptocrats are going to get absolutely crushed in the midterms, unless they can somehow pull a thousand rabbits from hats in the next 11 months.

I guess I can see where some people would find optimism in all this, but I can't see it personally. We're fricked, in my estimation.

They were absent for a whole month recently.

You're pretty retarded if you think Trump is losing all those voters versus the current Democrat party and what it espouses.

Most people aren't rabid partisans. A lot of us including myself will just stay home

You are operating from the assumption everyone will turn out and pick a side

Right now this administration has given no reason for anyone who hates both parties and did not gladly vote for McCain, Bush and Romney to turn out. The only people still supporting Trump are the forever Republicans who always show up to vote R no matter what

The economy sucks and this administration has been chaotic at best. A lot of normal people are sick of it already.

Trump was supposed to completely fix the damage of the Biden Admin on the economy in 10 months?

More descrimination based on race?

Mark Mitchell calls them forever Republicans - those who gladly voted Bush, McCain, Romney without any reservations and probably supported the Iraq War

The country economically is struggling. Forget the stock market and actually listen to people. What the hell is the GOP or Trump doing to make it better? Telling people it is great pisses people off.

Well they all stayed home in the 2025 November elections

shite, a lot of them voted for Mandhami. Keep denying the notion that Trump-Mandhami voters exist at your own risk

You misunderstand. These kids were already voting Republican.

It’s the first time voters Trump is losing support from for a variety of reasons.

Dismiss their concerns if you want, but they’re legitimate and better for Trump to address them before someone else does.

The elections decided by NYC area voters, and D.C. area voters? You think those are elections conservatives were going to win?

Democrats are going to win back the House. That was almost a given regardless of what happened. But now that Texas' dumbass redistricting plan is seemingly reveresed (for now) its almost assured.

If Texas wins that suit, it may be close, but regardless there isn't going to be some mandate either way in the House. It will be a dozen at most majority. That doesn't lead to governance without compromise regardless of which side holds the Speaker position.
